Q:I am repairing one leg of a mortise ant tenon teak chair. The joint has come loose and I dont really want to take the whole chair apart to fix one leg. I know you are supposed to rub the joint with acetone before gluing in up. The problem with that is that I cannot do a good enough job of cleaning the wood as the mortise and tenon is just loose and there is no real way of taking it apart.My question, id there a way of getting the glue sufficiently in the joing without taking the chair apart. Secondly, what glue could I use that doesnt require rubbing the piece with acetone.Thanks

They are $800+ and i just could never justify paying that much for something that you could find from a less known company with the same features. I would type in ergonomic chairs and branch out from there. Things that would help your back are: Adjustable lumbar support Adjustable arm height on chair Multi-tilter These are features that generally do not come standard on each chair but make a world of difference in being able to adjust to fit you as comfortable as possible. Hummmm....do you think obesity is a disease? Has it given this person a real physical limitation in walking, say due to knee problems? Look I understand what you're taking about because I have to use a handi-cart at the larger stores and it really pisses me off when someone who appears to be using it only cause they have a fat butt is in the cart. BUT...on the other hand...it may be that person has an affliction that is not as apparent as mine. They may very well have heart problems or something more. Who is to say? I guess having an ID card would help, but I think most disabled people are tolerant of those obese folks using the carts for convenience. God knows we wouldn't use them if we didn't need to. I'm conflicted on this question...very interesting and gives me something to think about.

I have assembled a number of chairs and never had a problem with the armrests. Loosen all the screws until loose enough to get all of them started, then just tighten them in rotation, a little at a time. And by the way, calling somebody stupid on here doesn't get you much good help, your question was quite ambiguous.
