- Q:Do plant growing lights usually consume more energy?
- No, the are about the same as comparable regular light bulbs. (comparing halogen, florescent, incandescent, to their respective grow-light conterparts). The thing is - plants need MUCH more light than people do to read by, or even have a reasonably bright room. They need a LOT of light. So generally, you're going to be paying more in electricity for a set of grow lights for your plants, than for lights you would need for your own use in the same room.

- At the rear of the tube is an electron generators, this is modulated by the TV signal, The electron generator projects a high voltage beam negative charged, it passes through a mess which is positive charged in order to separate colors, then to open the beam the surrounding layer of the tube is coated with a conductive metallic charged negatively charged with some thousands volts, the magnetic field of this current sweeps horizontally 640/sec and vertically to opens the beam and projects it over a front phosphorous layer which is luminic reactive to the hitting electrons, this collision leaves photons for a short period of time which is the light we see projected in form of image depending upon the modulation of the reception and amplifying circuitry.

- Q:Hey, I'm doing a science demo in front of a bunch of sixth graders (I'm in 8th grade) and I am taking a mirror and then two tubes angled into the mirror- with a flash light shining into one. The reflection of the tube with the flash light is lined up exactly with the other tube. The light then shines out of the reflection and in and out of the second tube. It sounds really confusing but it's actually cool. So, my teacher says I need to explain how light travels in straight lines and light energy and stuff. So I need help! Thanks

- Q:Why is candle light considered soft and flourescent lights considered harsh?
- I agree with devilsadvocate1728 on the color issue. Fluorescent light is in a certain part of the color spectrum that lends itself to greater contrast in colors. In other words, it has a high CRI value which brings out colors more than an incandescent source such as a candle flame. Light sources in the orange and red spectrum produce less of a contrast, softening the viewing environment.
