Q:i have a 1998 chrysler cirrus and some of my door locks wont close when you push the button on the door or the control sometimes they do sometimes they don't what part would be bad and what is it called
actuator but to save yourself some time. use the switch on the passenger side door and see if they work. if it works that side and not the other. it's a switch. if not it's the actuator 40$ at the dealer and about 25 min to install if you have the hands of a 5 year old. and realistically 1 hr to swap out.
Q:Our automatic door opened, long time off, how to make it quickly?
Choose Caesar automatic doors, would like to want to slow as you adjust, a lot of automatic doors can not be transferred.
Q:I have an "Over Head Legacy Garage door opener. It sometimes opens on its own. I had an electrician come out and look at it. He took took it apart and cleaned it and put the antenna on the inside but it still does it. Granted it doesn't happen every day but once is too many times, I don't know how old the unit is since it came with the house. My home was built in '97 I moved into it in Oct. of '09. Could it be time to buy a new one? (experts only please)
It's possible that someone else in your neighborhood has a garage door with the same or similar wireless code. See if your model allows for the remote and receiver to be re-coded. To check if this is correct, drive or walk the block and try your remote in front of other homes. If it works, you may want to warn that person and see if he or she can change their remote code if yours can't. They may be wondering why their garage opens now and again as well! It's also possible that the switch on your wall is sticking intermittently and therefor is not releasing completely after it is depressed (and I don't mean sad). Try pressing it repeatedly to determine if it feels like it is returning smoothly. If it feels sticky at all make sure there are no obstructions around the edge of the button (dirt and grease buildup). If it looks clean, but still feels like it sticks a bit, try a little silicone spray (NOT oil or WD40 etc.) around the edge of the button to get it to move freely. Also, follow the wire from your wall mounted switch or any other switch that is attached to the opener. If you observe any breaks or kinks in those thin wires, you may find your intermittent problem there. If the switches are normally closed and the circuit is interrupted, it thinks the button is being pushed. If there is enough slack in the wire, simply cut and splice the wire and re-insulate it to re-establish the connection. Be sure to match the polarity which should be marked with a color or stripe on the insulation or possibly one silver and one gold tone wire inside the insulation. Hope this helps.
Q:I'm trying to decide between two brands of guillotine-style electronic pet door, the Solo Automatic and the Power Pet. (I'm going to have to buy (or create) a patio door panel version.) I have an indoor-only cat, and two 20 lbs dogs that need to have access to the backyard. Does anyone have any experience with either one? Thumbs up or thumbs down about how it functions? If you bought the patio door version or had a panel made, how did the installation go? Thanks
The Patio door panel version, definitely,Matey. I had this one. It's a bit difficult to install unless you've installed one before,Savvy?
Q:Does anyone have a rough idea of what it would cost to buy all the necessary parts and install an automatic garage door? The garage is a small, one car garage. Is it likely that the same door can be used or would it most likely need a new door? I know absolutely nothing and am looking for a quick estimate as I don't have much time to do my research right away... Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!
Check out lowes for what kind of garage door/what size/design. I'd say about 1k if you want someone else to do it
Q:Is it chivalrous to open an automatic door for a woman?
Automatic doors just relieved the men from being the automatic doors for the women
Q:where should i start to troubleshoot the problem or do I need to take it into the dealership?
With the information you have given, it sounds like 2 different items are shorting. Those items usually have seperate fuses in the fuse panel. I would take it to the dealership versus the Mobil gas station on the corner, if you know what I mean. I have forgotten, some of the new car stereos are triggered to shut off, when the door opens (after the key is removed, it will stay on). You could have some moisture in the door panels, causing a short. Just guessing, because we are about to float away. GOOD LUCK!
Q:I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and recently the automatic locking mechanism on one of my back doors stopped working. When I press my lock/unlock button, you can clearly hear the "clicking" noise on the inside of the door panel but the actual button does not move automatically anymore. It really didn't bother me until the same thing happened to my front passenger door. You can hear the mechanism "click" when you try to lock and unlock but the button does not move automatically anymore. Since I hear the mechanism working on the inside of the door panel, is this a mechanical problem where something came off inside the door panel and can be reattached? Or is this an electrical problem where there's a disconnect in the circuit? More importantly, from a monetary standpoint, is this something that I can fix at home by myself? If so, how would I go about fixing it? Thanks.
While u operate the lock and u hear the clicking sound it means the solinoid is working , the rod from the solonoid and the lock might have come off for this remove the door panel and refit the rod hope it works.
Q:and why do they even have the ones that you manually open?
I always use the automatic doors if there are any...although sometimes I'm walking too fast and they are opening too slow...so I kind bump into them...lol Some smaller stores have manually opening doors because it saves on money.
Q:China bus before the automatic door to play the open, can not close the door and the solenoid valve leak is what reason?
You will be directly connected to the gas source on the gas, if the same problem is the cylinder seal to die, if it can be closed, it is a solenoid valve problems, it is recommended to change the new.
