- Q:I'm currently treating my cats for fleas and have been on a hoovering mission to try and tackle the problem in the house.99% of what I've read on the internet tells you that you MUST throw the bag away every time you hoover because fleas can escape! I can see how they may be able to survive the process of being sucked up and that eggs can still hatch, but can they really find their way out of the bag and down my long henry hose and back out into the outside world?I'm hoovering nearly every day and it seems ridiculous and expensive to replace what is actually a pretty empty bag.I'm putting a sock over the hose and securing with one of the attachments to be on the safe side but what does everybody think?
- a eureka i just bought it and it works great but i have found the bagless ones tend to be more of a hassel than the ones with bags because they need to be cleaned out so frequently and have many filters in the and get clogged easily....i hope i helped... *suga-bear*
- Q:Vacuum cleaners work by suction and suck up dirt. That would finally be correct usage of the word suck.
- While an open-ended vacuum does, literally, suck, one usually refers to the process, suction, specifically suction power when referring to the machine's action. One might be more specific/scientific refer to force of the vacuum if one were attempt to weigh the merits of various vacuum cleaners, although this is usually done by comparing relative measures of engine horsepower. Usually, of course, a practical demonstration is called for given. As for the negative connotations given to the term in common parlance, there are two possibilities: 1) It is an abbreviated version of the term more euphemistically stated as vacuums excrement. 2) It could refer to a negative memory of an adolescent experiment w/ a machine... The former seems more likely. But, as Fats Waller used to say: One never knows... Do one?
- Q:I am in China and don't have any carpet in my apartment (thank goodness!). I was thinking of getting a vacumn cleaner as it is aways so dusty but will this do more harm than good to my health in my apartment. Is it better just to sweep regularly and mop up the dust?Thanks !

- Q:I've seen the robot vacuum cleaners before (iRobot Roomba) and they seem really cool. But in reading about them, it seems like the mostly work on bare floor or super short carpet. Are there any models that work with normal medium length carpet?
- I have one and I think they work best on a bare floor. Doesn't seem to hang up as much or leave missed pieces of stuff behind.
- Q:Hoover or Kenmore? I say Kenmore, because a gladiator would like greater quality. I have thought Kenmore would be a gladiator's best friend when it comes to vacuuming. I have thought that the guy would go for Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum cleaner to buy and use, instead of a Hoover vacuum cleaner that is made in China or Mexico, for quality reasons. I thought Kenmore would sound more gladiator-like than Hoover. Also because of performance and that a Kenmore would hold up better than any Hoover that is one the market. I would say gladiators in general prefer Kenmore over Hoover for quality, performance, reliability, and ease of use. Because of this. I do think it would be a minority of them that would prefer Hoover than Kenmore.
