welcome to visit our company!
- Q:We just found out that we need to get tires for our 06 Eddie Bauer Explorer. I can‘t remember the exact tread measurement, but the wear is down to the marker that is on the tire. We are getting ready to head out on a road trip and the front tires are worse than the back tires and we were thinking of replacing just the front tires before the trip, and then doing the back tires when we get back.Is that a bad idea? I am also curious about why it would be bad? Could it damage anything on my vehicle?
- just rotate them(put the fronts on the backs and the backs on the fronts),u can make ur tires last longer by doing so, the front tires will allways be the ones that get worn down first and the most
- Q:Is there some kind of code on the tire?
- The production code on all tires are not equal but you will see a special code in an ellipse shape on at least 80% of all tires on the market, and that will help you find tire date of manufacture. The last 4 digits on the ellipse tells us tire manufacture date. The first 2 digits is PRODUCTION WEEK and the last 2 digits is the YEAR. Assuming there are 4 weeks in a month, we can say that this tire was manufactured by the end of March 2003 (1212th week of the year, 03Year 2003). 5000 means 50th week of year 2000, which means December 2000.
- Q:I‘m looking for used snow tires. I have a Chevy cavalier tire size is 195/70/14 but when I search for snow tires in that size I‘m not finding any matches (which could simply be because there aren‘t any) but what I am finding is 170/75/14. Would those work or no?
- pounds per squared inch - you have a 2000 pound ride - that's 500 per tire - so you have wide tires - lets say you have 16 inch's on the ground squared -16 divided 500 31.25 psi - ok learn - 185 tire - with this tire you have only 12 inch's squared - 12 divided by 500 41.666 - ok I'm finish
- Q:Okay, I go outside, my rear passenger tire is flat. like most people, I look at the tire, and I also feel around the tire for a reason, there‘s always the chance the problem is at the bottom of the flat tire, but. finally, through alot of getting it to a very well known tire center, my car‘s tire not only has one, but two nails. One in the tread, and mysteriously one is in the sidewall and not at the bottom of the sidewall, which of course makes it a complete loss. I need not one tire, but two, as the sales clerk declares, according to their employee, because they will then match, and we can rotate them, oh and only $250. How in the you know what, or how, does a nail under any law of physics and volicity drive itself into the sidewall? The tire was not flat, the car was never driven on the rim??????
- They are called mopeds (short for motorized pedal bike). In most areas an unlicensed rider can use one as long as the engine does not exceed 50cc.
- Q:Hi, im changing all four of my old tires to brand new tires. But the store (pep boys) im getting it from charges $200 for the changing, balancing, realignment etc. Or i can buy the tires, bring to gas station and pay alot less. But im wondering if i should get the balancing, realignment etc etc or not? Thanks so much!!
- You should be able to find the full arm at autozone or another chain store. Call and ask, they may have to order it for you. Then find a boy friend. you'll be all set.
- Q:This is my first time getting tires for my car and I am thinking about getting it from discount tires. I wasn‘t sure if I should make an appointment first or not and I would appreciate it if you let me know how the whole tire buying process unfolds. Thanks
- Have you checked for blown fuses? Relays? This should always be the first step for diagnosing electrical issues.
- Q:I had got 2 used tires from this place not too long ago. After I put them on my car starts bumping.I know my car needs an alignment but it shoudnt be bumping like it was.Later,my mom had a blow out.All the metal inside the tire came out on the side. The tire had small cracks in it as well. Was the tire bad?At the same time I had a bent rim on the other side but that tire didnt blow.I been riding on it smooth before I got those 2 used tires.
- For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Jude 1:22) Have Mercy on those who doubt.
- Q:I got a flat tire, didn‘t know how so I go and put more air in the tire and notice that it is coming out of the little tube which you put the air in through, it is almost like the tube rubbed up against the rim and slit the a whole in the that tubeBasically is there any way I can repair that instead of getting a whole new tire?I bought that green slime stuff and tried that, the botte suggested it wouldn‘t work but I thought for eight bucks it was worth a shotdidnt work tho
- A tire shop can replace the valve stem for you. Just a few bucks. They won't appreciate that you put the green slime in however. That stuff is OK for bicycle and lawn mower tires but not for highway tires.
- Q:How does the speed depend upon the tyre type?
- If R r is the radius of the truck tires and r is the radius of the normal, car tires and, if all other things are equal, then yes the car with the truck tyres would be going faster. Here's why. All other things equal means that the angular velocity w of the truck and car tires would be equal. In which case V wR and v wr are the truck and car tire tangential speeds. And if there is no slippage between the tyres and the road, V and v will also be the speeds of the truck and car respectively. Take the ratio V/v wR/wr (R/r) so V (R/r)v and as R/r 1.00 we se that V v also. And there you are, all other things equal, the truck with V v speed will be going faster. But, this is important, all things will probably not be equal in reality. So the real answer is. it depends on all those other things. For example, in reality the mass and increased radii of the truck tyres will likely yield a moment of inertia I kMR^2 greater than that of the car tires t kmr^2. So, unless the car's engine can boost the amount of energy it transmits to the tires to compensate for the increase in inertia, it's unlikely the angular velocities will be the same for both kinds of tire. In other words, chances are more lkely we'd have V/v wR/Wr (w/W)(R/r) and V (w/W)(R/r)v so that, depending on the relative angular velocities, V may or may not be greater for the truck. Thus the answer. it depends.
- Q:I am in need of 2 front tires. My car is 3 yrs old, with 19,000 miles on it. The front 2 tires are always low, and I am looking to replace them. What is a way I can check (myself) to see if I need all 4 new tires or just the 2, and is Costco a good place to get them at. I have never had these tires rotated (my bad), and I am just looking for some answers. Thanks in advance
- Buy a tire tread depth gage and check the tread on the tires. if the tires have less then 4/32 of tread left the I would replace them. There is a wear indicator built into your tires that will show a soiid band across you tire tread when the tire has less then 3/32 of tread left which is considered bald. I would get the tires rotated and the tread depth checked so you know where you stand. Maybe the front tires have a slow leak and can be repaired. If the tires have below 5/32 of tread left I would go ahead and replace them. Factory installed tires on most new cars will only last 35,000 miles so since you never rotated the tires you probably need at least 2 new tires on the front and you may be able to get another 10,000 miles from the rear tires. The tires at Costco are reasonably priced but are not the same quality that you get from a regular tire dealer.
