- Q:I recently bought an area rug and it has a wrinkle I guess you would call it, in it. Its soooo annoying, we're tried re-rolling it the other way and vacuuming it out, ironing it out, and putting heavy things on it to make it stay flat. - Q:I have horses aswell, and we always put rugs on them to suit the weather conditions, but never put any rugs on the donkeys. Their coat is thick, but would getting them a rug still be a good idea to keep them warm? Its snowing where I live at the minute, and its meant to be getting even colder soon!
- If they have lived all their lives without rugs then they wont need them. The majority of horses do not need rugs, people just think that they do. A horse or donkey can regulate its temperature very well, by putting a rug on you are actually stopping their bodies from working properly. The only time I would put rugs on is if it constantly rains/snows and they live outside with no shelter, otherwise they will keep themselves warm and happy as long as they have enough to eat.

- Not sure what you consider low cost...I've never seen any that I thought was reasonable. Quite a while back, someone posted a link to instructions for building your own. I'm sure you can google that if you're interested. I do have a suggestion about building your own, though. I don't have room or I would be doing this. One idea I saw on Trash to Treasure on Decorating Cents. Take an old desk, remove the drawers, remove some or all of the wood that is under the drawers so that you basically have a desk with drawer holes but empty space inside. Or perhaps you could cut holes in them and put them back....then cover the openings with some sheer fabric, and viola! you have a cool cat tree for next to nothing. The other idea I came up with on my own was to build a staircase. Or better yet, a ramp. Use a tape measure to determine how much wood you'll need - prop it against the wall at a reasonable angle and note the length. (6ft I think was the figure I came up with. Then get a piece of cheap wood in that length - or you could get two pieces and secure them together with L brackets or something like that. Make sure it's at least 1/2 thick or more - you don't want it to get bouncy. Carpet it, and viola again! You have a cat ramp. Be sure to secure it to the wall and/or floor. You could add a ledge at the top - just cut a hole in it so the cats can get onto it.

- Q:Is one of the two supposed to be softer than the other? More durable? Easier to clean? I want a sisal type area rug. I want a casual look that would go with my blend of tradtional and contemporary decor. I do not want a scratchy rug with fibers that quot;stick upquot; like bristles on a brush! Some older carpets or ones with out memory retention can some times ( some times) be fluffed back up using other tricks. One trick to help avoid the marks , no matter what type of carpet is to move these pcs of furniture once a week , just a few inches and vacuum over the spot to pull them back up.. GL
