- Huh, yeah, a rug burn is not a bad analogy. That's really more after a few days, though, as that's when the skin starts to shed and slough off. Until then the sunburn analogy is a little more apt. How long it hurts depends on a lot of factors. The arm tends to be less sensitive, at least the outer arm. Inner arm, on the other hand, can be very sensitive. They do indeed use needles, but those needles don't go in far - like 1/16th of an inch or so. It's more like getting scratched a bit too hard with an Xacto knife or similar. On the outer arm this is annoying until the endorphins kick in, when it becomes trivial. When my spine was done, ouch, even after I'd adjusted.

- What is just as important as the machine, is the cleaning solution and method used to clean the carpet. I've found Rug Doctor brand cleaning supplies to be the best and most economical. Note: Never use products that are not specifically designed for use on carpet. As far as methodology goes, you want to pretreat any stains with an appropriate stain remover. Organic stains require an enzymatic stain remover such as Natures Miracle. After stains are addressed, you pretreat the entire area to be cleaned, either with Natures Miracle, a pretreatment solution, or with Oxy Clean Crystals (make a solution and apply with a spray bottle ). Work the pretreatment into the carpet fibers with a stiff brush. From there you simply use the carpet cleaning machine as per the manufacturer's instructions, though you'll want to use less cleaning solution since you've already got pretreatment on the floor. You may need an anti-foaming agent OR pay close attention to the recovery tank on the machine and empty it before sudsing can be drawn into the motor. Once you've cleaned the carpet with cleaning solution, go back over the whole area with clean hot tap water to rinse. The color of the extraction will tell you if further rinsing is required. Be careful not to over saturate the carpet while cleaning or rinsing, as excess moisture will cause odors and mold/mildew.

- Do yourself a big favor and hire someone to do it. If it's not done properly it'll loosen up and look bad. I am a carpenter by trade and tried to lay carpet once, using all the proper tools that are mentioned in a preceding answer. After a couple of years it needs restretching.

- Carpeting okorder . Think about it for a second, when you put shampoo in your hair, do you not rinse it out. Many products on the market are a rip off, and this foaming spray is one of them. The carpet needs to be hot water rinsed and extracted to come clean, and no, this does not hurt the carpet.

- try some diaper soaker .first try iit onsome part oof the rug that can't be seen in case it takes the colour of the rug out .then use it carefully ,not too much soaker.about half a cup in a litre of water get as much of the poop off as you can before you start then gently drawing the stain to the center from each side dab on the diaper soaker. you will need to put the soaker in some warm water. when you think you have got it cleaned up get a micro cotton towel and put it over the stain and stand on it .this will soak up most of the water .you may have to repeat this to get it all out .

- yes carpet can be replaced on all vehicles. You can do it through the dealership or look in phone book for an auto upholstery shop. The dealer price will probably be a lot higher. You can do it yourself. I put carpet in a old car of mine a few years ago

- Pick up as much beer as possible with paper towels. Use a solution of diluted vinegar. About 2-4ounces in a quart should do it. If the smell persists make the solution stronger. Pour the solution on the beer spill area and allow it to soak for a couple of minutes. Then dry the area as best as possible with paper towels. Place a fan on the rug at the spill and allow it to run until the it is dry. Check for the beer of beer and repeat if needed. You may want to use a carpet deodorizer from the cleaning section of the drug store after doing the above procedure. Soaking up as much of the beer and drying the rug is key to keeping the beer smell to a minimum.

- As a carpet cleaning pro, I've seen hundreds of damaged carpets, mostly Nylon or Polyester, where a laundry product permanently damage the carpet dyes. When inquiring as to what caused the damage, the number one culprit was Oxy Clean Laundry Detergent. About 6 years ago, I came across a couple who used this product to fine tune the spills and stains in their carpet, severly damaging the Nylon carpet in numerous areas. They did receive a settlement from the Oxy company at that time to help replace their carpet. Their ads made it sound like they had a miracle product available. If you have Olefin carpeting, a laundry detergent may not hurt these fibers, but why take a chance. Never use bleach on any spill or stain on furniture or carpeting. I've seen thousands of damaged carpets cause by the mis - use of this laundry product.
