Structural Characteristics of Centrifugal Chemical Mixed Flow Pump

ASP series mixed flow pump is a "Pull-out"type pump.When examining and dismantling impeller and shaft seal,there is no need to disconnect the pipeline that is connected with the pump casing.Pump shaft is precision machined,and the bearing is thin oil lubrication.There is protective shaft sleeve in the stuffing box cover.The oil in the bearing box can be controlled by a constant oil cup.

Supporting foot of pump can bear any load coming from pipeline,and pass it to the foundation.Then the rotor can not bend because of the load of bearing to make sure the max. service life of bearing.

Passing area is so large that it can reduce the blocking.

Pump with specification 35-40,its outlet&inlet flange dimension complies with HG20592 Standard,pressure rating is 1.0Mpa;for the pump with much larger specification,its pressure rating is 0.6MPa.

Electric motor or internal combustion engine shall be used as the power drive.

A whole air bleeder shall be installed on the pump,which shall be good for the exhaust of suction pipe.

Sealing can be packing seal and double mechanical seal.

Q:why is no water coming from above ground water pump tank but the pump is running w/ no pressure on gauge?
There are several possibilities as to why you have no water pressure. The pump could have lost it's prime, there could be a crack or loose connection between the well pipe and the pump, resulting in pumping air instead of water, the jet in the pump could have been plugged by a flake of rust broken off the inside of the pump housing, or, if you have a fairly old system, like mine, your air volume control, (a little round silver object screwed into the side of the resevoir tank), could be bad. Did this just happen all of a sudden, are you trying to open up a cottage for the summer that's been shut down all winter, was it pumping recently??? More info would be helpful.
Q:can air enter a water pump?
In general an air pump a water pump are two different types of pump though if your pump is a fixed displacement type, say a diaphragm or piston type pump it could possibly be used to pump air. If your pump is a gear or centrifugal type it will not pump air as it is designed for liquids only. It might tolerate a small volume of air in it but you could end up with cavitation damage to the components the air could cause the pump to lose it's prime that is the air in the casing could make the pump lose suction. What you might be able to try is using a venturi on the pumps outlet. That way you could use your water pump to pump water use the venturi to draw air into the water flow. Without getting too scientific a venturi is a smooth restriction in the pipe that speeds up the fluid (in your case water) flow in doing so it reduces the pressure energy of the fluid turns it into velocity energy. If the restriction is sized right it can drop the pressure of the fluid below atmospheric it will draw air or some other fluid into the flow. Perhaps the easiest way you could do it would be to use a round piece of stainless steel or brass (it won't rust) that is small enough to fit into the pump outlet (I'm guessing you're using hoses) bore a hole along the centre of it then bore a very small hole at right angles to it fit it into the line. It might take a bit of experimentation to get the sizes right but it should suck a bit of air into the line at the same time recirculate the pond water. Make sure there are no restrictions downstream of the venturi as the water will come out of it rather than the air being drawn it. Hope this helps.

G.M. uses Dexcool and it's a orange reddish color. If not flushed at manufacturer recommended intervals it can wreak havoc on the cooling system as well as having the ability to eat water pump gaskets and restrict cooling system passages. There's alot of class action law suits regarding the dreaded Dexcool. Usually however when the waterpump goes you'll hear a roaring type sound when the engine is running as well as there would be some play in the waterpump shaft contributing to the sound it might make. If it doesn't leak from the gasket then it will be froim the weep hole on the bottom of the pump that let's go over time. Have the cooling system pressure tested so you can pin point where it's leaking instead of guessing and wasting money throwing parts at it, Good luck and hope this helps.

Sounds to me like you answered your own question. I would have the water pump looked at by a reputable mechanic. A thermostat doesn't make a chattering noise when failing. A water pump can make noise when failing. WARNING: MAKE THESE CHECKS WITHOUT THE MOTOR RUNNING! When a water pump is failing, frequently it will leak coolant from the impeller shaft (the shaft that has the drive pulley). Look for greenish or orange liquid leaking from behind this pulley. Also, try to rock the pulley from side to side. If the pulley moves, the bearing and seal are failing and the water pump must be replaced. Have it repaired soon. Replacing a water pump is much cheaper than replacing a burned up engine. Until then, don't take it very far and watch your coolant level closely.

on cars with water pumps that run off the timing belt it can be pricey to replace. If its a vehicle that has a water pump running off the accessory belt it shouldn't be to much unless its a BMW or foreign. state what kind of car its for it could help us answer. also do the water pump before the trip, if its really bad then getting stranded will cost you alot more.
