Q:Does anyone know if this PSU comes with a power cord/cable? I can't find an answer for this.
Psus usually come with one, if not the cable is universal and is dirt cheap
Q:i need to know what kind of cable i need to supply power to my internal dvd player. I ALREADY HAVE AN IDE CABLE
You need a molex cable. Here is a page you can check out to get some 1 to 2 adapters for molex cables. I have ordered things from them before and was very pleased:
Q:my friend has a dell that has a btx mobo. the power supply looks like all the other power supplys. will getting a regular power cord at radio shack fit and work with the dell power supplys. the cables that come out of the supply are all the same as usual ones.
the power cord for most all power supplies are universal.
Q:And if so how much would that cable be and could you supply a link to get it from that place?Im really struggling to find any details of where i can get one so could you possibly check out the item and see if there is any help on there?I currently have a 3A 250v Power cable and i'm wondering if that can help? Thanks alot and if it helps ill pick a best answer soon. Thank you!
High input cable ...? Not really sure what that is, Also, that power supply is junk. 750W and it only has a single 6-pin PCI? That's sad. Good 750W power supplies are at least ?70 and have four 6-pin PCI cables. Heck, a good 430W costs more than that and it's guaranteed to perform better.
Q:Soooooo I don't know much about electronics, but... I'm pretty that my AC power cable for my new receiver was made wrong. You know how it supposed to have a positive and a negative pins? well they are both the same. I know that the wall outlet has the little whole and the bigger one. I've seen some AC power cables that only have the little flat pins so they fit on the wall outlet. My cable has two of the big flat pins... so I can't plug it in the outlet. What do I do? is there like a plug I could buy? I've been using google but I can't find anything...
The hot side of outlets has a smaller socket dimension, and that's supposed to prevent a plug that has an assigned neutral from being plugged in with the neutral (wider blade) side connected to the hot side. If your plug has two of the wider blades, then that does sound like a manufacturing defect. I'd complain to the manufacturer or vendor. Hopefully the power cord is removable, so you don't have to return the whole unit.
Q:Hi, my computer power supply does not have a PCI-E 6 pin power cable for my graphics card, so therefore I found a 2 (4 pin molex) to 1 PCI-E power cable Y adapter.
Motherboard doesn't provide that connector for the video card. the power supply does. Take the side panel off and see if it has one. Can always use a 4/6pin adaptor. Most retail cards come with one. Just make sure you have enough watts and +12V amps on the PSU to run the new card. A lot of video card upgrades require an upgrade for the power supply as well.
Q:Will it work if I put a pigtail (connect the wires by twisting them together) or does that stop it from working properly..
If you know how to do a reasonably-competent job and cover your splices with heat shrink tubing, there is no problem. Note that if we're talking about the cable that connects to the laptop, the current is fairly high (3A or so) so the splice cannot be thinner than the wire in the cable at any point. The splice should be both mechanically and electrically solid. If there's a bulge, a thin part, wire sticking out, loose tape ends, or any other such nonsense, the cord should *definitely* not be used. Any signs of incompetent assembly should be cause for completely disassembling and inspecting the splice.
Q:The Power cable of my guitar amp (roland cube 20x) was under my computer chair leg and when i sat down the fuse triped in the power box then when i checked under me the cable was almost cut across.. How can i fix this or where would i get it fixed?
It would work But it is a good idea to have separate cables using each one for a specific job. Buy a cable for each job. Label it near the plug for the amp. That way you are always using exactly the same set up every time. When things go wrong and they will, you wil know which cable and which amp or guitar is having the problem. I have been on stage when it took 10 minutes to find that the wrong instrument had accidentally been plugged into the wrong amp or pedal.
Q:I don't know what to do. I bought a monitor from someone on OKorder over a month ago. He said the person who packaged the monitor accidentally put my cables in the box with another monitor he sold to someone else. For a month now he's been quot;trying to find a solution. He said he looked at electronics stores, but never found anything. I already paid a lot for the monitor, and can't afford to buy the cables again. (because I already bought them with the monitor from this guy...)WHAT CAN I DO?
You can't really do anything. OKorder is full of scammers, and you just got scammed. Next time go big or go home, because this time you were sent home.
Q:Cannot find a path to send the power cable for the amplifier through
The firewall is the bulkhead between the Passenger compartment and the engine bay. Look for a rubber grommet in the firewall/bulkhead that has existing wires going through it and use this. Some firewalls have grommets that you can use to pass your power cable through from the battery. Remember to put an in line fuse on th live cable of the correct rating.
