Q:when every i take my cover off my horse it lets of static electric zaps. (you know like if you shuffle along the floor then tap some one and it lets of this zap) but its not small zaps they are very loud, you can hear them crackle from meters away if you move the cover, but they are also EXTREMELY painful!! Wash it with a few dryer sheets. And wipe your horse down with dryer sheets too. It's not like there's something wrong with it, it's normal for that too happen. You just have to figure out how to deal with it.

Q:So last night i was painting my nails and i got some nail polish on my carpet and i cant get it out. Please help.

Acetone might, but then again, it might damage the carpet too. A pro can safely remove the stain without causing damage.

Q:Im replacing a carpet afrer one and a half year use.can i use the same padding under the existing carpet?

Yes you can. You pad should still be in good shape. When you order your carpeting just tell them you want to use the existing pad. There should be no problem.

Q:My daughter just spilled some Sunny D onto the carpet and it is not coming out. Any suggestions. I tried Oxy Clean, Resolve Carpet cleaner, and that other Duel Action one. NOTHING helped. I got tired of stains and just bought this really great carpeting that is made of recyled plastic milk containers. The dye in the carpet is permanent. You can spill red Koolaid on it and you just blot it and it comes right out. Its really great when you have kids and pets. Look for the code PET on it. It's not just poly they are improving on the look every year!

Q:I have purchased wool rugs which I really like but they have an odour and we have stepped on prickly objects that, when searched for, turn out to be similar to twigs (approx. an inch or more in length) or seeds woven into the wool. The rugs come from a very reputable rug importer that operates in the United States as well as Canada so I'm somewhat surprised at what appears to be poor quality and am considering returning them. Will I find this with all 100% wool handmade rugs? Does cleaning them make any difference?

You've been duped. There is no reason in this world why a rug should have twigs or seeds in it.

Q:I noticed that my carpet has holes in it. there are tiny areas where the carpet strands are gone/eaten/disappeared/burned/etc and i don't know what it is. Also, around the area it is black or has black stuff left on the carpet (light brown carpet color). Any ideas as to what it is? How to stop it? Fix it? [also the only pets i have are fish]

there's a few things that live in carpets or breed there. but moths are the ones that are famous for holes. the larvae eat the rug then become moths. If you're lucky a little flea spray and the worms will come up so you can see them. start using boric acid or diatomaceous earth (buy the kind for this use not the pool filter material). sprinkle on carpet and brush deep with broom. Vacuum more regularly and put down more boric acid every few months at least.

There are several ways: there is a very small T-shaped mound layer, find a careful worker to instal it at the edge of the tile, and then press the carpet into the T-shaped mound layer, it also should be done carefully, the carpet needs to be cut exactly, because it will come out if cut smaller. The second one is the direct pressure method, the carpet side closer to tiles should be rolled like clothes, or it will have rough selvedge after a long time. exact size is very important for rolling, the carpet is better three mm or so lower than floor tiles after finished. it is ok to install carpet hook at the edge of tiles.

If okorder / I use the great value brand of cleaner that WalMart carries for my steam vac, it's located with the steam vacs. I get the one for pets, it works good for general traffic and it makes the house smell fresh.
