- I'll assume you mean wall-to-wall carpeting. You might look at a grey rug, maybe a medium to light grey. Not necessarily very exciting, perhaps, but I suggest that because carpet is hard to change. Once it's in, it's probably going to stay in for a while. Paint colour is relatively simple to change, and grey goes with many colours. Pink can go with aqua as long as you choose the right shades of both. It would have a sort of tropical feel to it and would look best with other colours that are light and bright. Tan is not going to go too well with pink, probably, but has a better chance of looking okay with aqua. Wouldn't be my first choice of a colour combo but could be all right. Grey would go well with tan and aqua.
- Q:I have a white carpet that has gotten dirty over the years. The color has just generally changed to a dirtier white. It's kinda dark and you can easily tell which parts of the carpet haven't gotten dirty over the years as they are perfectly white. I also have some stains. I tried bleaching some parts of the carpet which did actually work, but that left clean spots that look weird compared to how the rest of the carpet is. I would bleach the whole thing but it created such a strong smell last time that I couldn't sleep in my room. Is there a way to generally whiten the entire carpet with the supers strong smell of bleach. Preferably a way to do this with household items. Thank you.

- you dont have to match the carpet to the curtains, they should blend with the colors of the whole room, so as long as it matches or blends in good with the other colors of the room it light, light blue, white, off white, or even a creamy color or it can even match other objects in the room painting, flowers etc..........good luck

- Get a gallon jug of Acetone from Home Depot in the paint department. Pull all the old carpet up, pull up the tarboard sound deadening material, then pour out the Acetone and scrub the floor using steel wool to clean up any glue or tar that might be on the floor. Once you've got the floor pans clean, paint them with flat black paint to protect them from rusting. Finally, you can find replacement carpet at a parts store, just glue it down with contact cement.
