Q:Where does expression red carpet come from?
Royalty in Europe in the Renaissance period, during formal occasions, walked on a runner of red velvet or similar fabric. Red was considered a regal color, which is why it was chosen. The concept of the red floor covering for “royalty” to walk on has continued, and now stars walk the red carpet at all of these events.
Q:How to get silly putty off carpet????????
Freeze it with ICE CUBES then crack it off with your fingers.....It may work!
Q:How much does a huge grizzly bear rug go for these days?
Advertise it on Guns America, Guns International, Gun Auction. These are 3 places used by people who have the money to afford it. From what I found, you can expect to get $3,000. to $5,000. for it; IF it is in very good condition. Grizzly Bear Rugs The fur of a grizzly bear rug is commonly medium to dark brown but in rare cases can have a silver tip or blond color. The long guard hairs often have a lighter tip, giving the bears their 'grizzled' appearance. Grizzly bear rugs have very soft and long thick hair. The head is very large and round with a concave facial profile and the claws are extremely long and thick. Q:Is rubber mat needed for the carpet's stitching?
You can fix it with a carpet glue, which can save the cost. The effect of rubber mat is mainly focusing on foot feeling and moisture proofing.
Q:How can I clean my area rug?
Sticky lint roller
Q:What carpet is better for the hotel room
Business Hotel can use nylon printing or Wilton, Chris, it is more affordable; if it is star hotel , it should use better carpet, like handmade wool which looks beautiful and generous! it is high class
Q:Am I having an allergic reaction to the rug doctor help!!?
Kookie: By rug doctor I am guessing that you mean she cleaned the carpets in your house with the rental carpet cleaning machine made by the rug doctor company. If she used their cleaning solution, it might be that you are reacting to the chemicals in the carpet cleaner. Lots of cleaners use formaldehyde. If that is the case, you can try a couple of things #1. Re clean the carpets using only vinegar and water #2 Treat the carpets with zeolite powder to absorb the chemicals If you are not familiar with zeolites, they are volcanic rocks that are used lots of ways. Because they are negatively charged, they trap and absorb most chemicals and organic odors (those are generally positively charged). You would want to use some crushed up zeolite so it can get on the carpet fibers and get the chemical absorbed. I'll give you some links to read about formaldehyde and zeolite. The vinegar would work as well, but your house is going to smell like a salad for a while. Good luck!
Q:Truly cleaning Carpet?
The issue is and always has been, less about the carpet and more about the padding. Certainly Hundreds of products are sold claiming to reduce or remove stains, and given that most carpet fibers are synthetics, they all may have some moderate success. It may also depend in large measure, on what caused the stain in the first place, and I promise you any WET attempts, no matter Who the PRO Cleaner is, who does the job,,, will leach to the padding. The same can be said for those machines so many rent from the grocery store. The problem will show soon enough, in that the stain, or some of it will appear to be gone from the carpet, but at least some of it will end up in the pad. Then as the carpet fibers will dry first the Moisture in the pad, along with the stain, will leach back up, into the carpet. Many PROS also use a Bonnet technique; similar to dry cleaning clothing. The machine (looking like a floor buffer) is fitted with an absorbent pad. Some chemical substance sprayed from an ordinary spray bottle is applied as the BONNET is then rotated over the stained area, gathering whatever amount is possible, into the Bonnet pad, while keeping a moisture level low so as to NOT allow seeping into the pad. In reality, if you want to keep this forecloser or even FLIP it you should probably pull the carpet, and at the very least replace the pad. You'll notice years of abuse that may not show on the carpet surface. Also to do the WET approach, even Stanley Steamer the likelyhood is that any leached substance/stain will add aromas to the house, when wet, that you might not enjoy, IE: Pet Urine. Steven Wolf
Q:How to price carpet?
Write down the dimensions of the rooms and take them to a carpet store for an estimate of how many square yards of carpet it will take to replace it. Sometimes the length of the roll of carpet has to be accounted for, and it therefore isn't as straightforward as it might seem. In other words, you could have two rooms with identical square footages, but they way they're shaped could mean that one would require you to buy more carpeting than the other.
Q:Would you hire a college student to clean your home carpet?
Depends they should have at least some pictures or work to show how good they are. i would if I were hiring someone lol but im only 14 I don't see why not
