- Q:When my carpets are cleaned at first, they are perfectly clean and I have a friend who owns a carpet company who doesn't just steam clean the carpets. After a few months, the same stains seem to re-emerge from where they were before as if they were cleaned on the surface but re-surfaced.I have 2 cats where I have cleaned hairballs, and a lot of throwing up, and I think that's what the stains are from. I use the MIracle stuff for cat stains/odors and it seems to work at first, but again they come up especially in the hallway upstairs. The rest of my my carpets are not bad, even after a year. I take good care of them and keep them as clean as possible but these round stains in various places make it look really bad! How can I make them go away permanently. I'm tired of hiring expensive carpet cleaners where they look great for a month or so; then these same spots seem to come back plus additional hairballs which I try to catch as soon as I can.Thanks.
- If you have had your carpets professionally cleaned, and they stay clean for a while only to have the same spots re-appear, this means that the padding under the carpet is hopelessly stained. The padding stain will continue to wick up and stain the carpet until the problem is fixed. The solution? You need to have the carpet peeled back, cut the stained padding out, and replace that part with new padding. Any carpet installer should be able to do this. After replacing the stained padding, have the carpet professionally cleaned again, and it will stay clean. Hope this helps. -
- Q:i have a old rug its a shaggy type rug that i got when my great grandfather passed away and im not sure what year its from all i know is that its way over 20 years because he had it when i was born, and it was old then. i want to know what i can get to clean it with out it messing it up, right before he passed away he had put it in a box out in his barn and it smells its not really dirty it just smells and i've tried many things and all they do is just cover up the smell for a little while, if anyone know how i could get it cleaned please let me know, thanks

- . Can Zout? stain remover be used on carpet or upholstery? A. We do not suggest using Zout? on upholstery or carpet because, as a super concentrated surfactant based product, it needs to rinse thoroughly. When not rinsed properly, soap will collect dirt. If Zout? has been used on upholstery or carpet, rinse until no soapsuds appear using a wet/dry vacuum or a carpet/upholstery cleaning machine. So that's a no.

- Yes fox is edible... but save the brain. Tanning a hide is a skill that requires practice. I can tell you how but I suggest practicing on something you don't plan to have every guest at your house have a look at. Also some sewing skill would be needed to mend the two rugs together, and foxes aren't large animals so more than one will almost definitely be needed. To tan a hide: Skin the animal at the leg and stretch the skin out very taunt. You will need a tool for scraping ( something sharp but rounded enough not to tear the hide). While the hide is stretched, scrap of the epidermis of the skin with your tool (on the side without fur obviously). Its important to keep the hide wet during this process. Keep a bucket of water nearby to wet it down with. After the hide dries from anywhere from a day or a week (still stretched) untie it and cut it to the size you need it. Now rinse it in a mixture of a half - a whole gallon of water and the foxes own brains (yes, the brains). Rinse, wring it out, rinse again. Over and over and over until your tired. Next stretch the skin out some. Give it a tug with a partner to loosen it up. Then you have to smoke the skin with a dark smoke (most likely from old rotten wood). This will cause the white skin to tan (hence, tanning the hide). Tan the fir side as well but no where near as much as the inside of the skin. Once its a golden brown you can sew it onto your first rug. Whew lol. This is just the general jist of tanning a hide. There are many other methods that I don't know about. - Q:We purchased the recommended pad for use on carpeted areas. The problem is that the wrinkles are pronounced/high. This diminishes the attractiveness and safety of the new rug.The rug was tightly rolled for shipping. It was laid across a bed for 4-5 days allowing the edges to hang hoping to straighten and smooth out these wrinkles. Now that we have actually placed it on the carpeted area it is disappointing that the wrinkles remain. I've contacted the vendor and they have no advise or help thus far. Any ideas?

- Definitely NOT calcium sand. Avoid any loose substrates - they are just too risky In fact, cali sand is probably the worst kind you could possibly get; it actually encourages the geckos to eat it obviously ending in horrid impaction and possibly death. Assuming by rug you mean reptile carpet then that would be the better option, along with slate tiles, newspaper and paper towels

- You can clean the carpet with the following process: 1) Vacuuming carpet for collection of all loose dirt particles. This step insures dirt and grime will not be ground into your carpet upon agitation. 2) Pre-spray application of our cleaning solution. The solution is applied evenly throughout the carpeted area. 3) Agitate the carpet. Agitating the carpet allows for the cleaning solution to really cleanse the carpet fibers. 4) Use hot water extraction with the equipment. The extraction allows for a deep thorough rinse of all carpet fibers. 5) Do some beautiful grooming of the carpet. Giving the carpet a newer appearance look.

- yeah all depends on your preference. mine is grey, doesnt really make a difference to me. but carpet itself serves as a sound dampener to keep the box tight and to not let it bang around when the bass hits. i didnt think it was a stupid question. good question.
