- Q:I will be visiting Chicago with my family (wife + 5 amp; 7y/o kids) next week and, among the touristy stuff that we have scheduled, I would like to know if it's safe to walk around Lincoln Park, Old Town, Wrigleyville and Wiker Park-Bucktown neighborhoods during the late afternoon and early night hours using the CTA system. We will be staying in the River North area. I'll appreciate your advice.
- If there was a gas leak large enough to set off any alarm, you would smell the gas.
- Q:its a screening i know for drug testing . i need to know how to pass it . this is a oppurtunity i will never have again- Please help?
- Maybe there are prerequisites like years in service or so and he just didn't match these.
- Q:What is a more rugged trip: Alaska or Boston?
- 1 meter 3.2809 feet 3.2809 ft X lbf/ft? / 62.4 lbm/ft? 3.2809 ft x 62.4 lbm/ft? 204.72816 lbf/ft? 204.72816 lbf/ft? / 144 in?/ 1 ft? 1.421723 lbf/in? Since there is a hydrostatic head of 1.421723 psi per meter of elevation, they want a 4 psi increase per meter elevation to ensure sufficient flow and to take into account any minor additional head losses (due to piping length and any equivalent lengths for fittings and friction factor) to the point of delivery. The diameter is important due to friction head losses over a long length of pipeline and the Darcy-Weisbach equation applies. I responded to a similar inquiry regarding static head loss over a long length of pipeline. Edit: I forgot to mention that there are many tables which apply Hazen-Williams equation for head losses specifically for water piping systems. This approach is probably more appropriate for your water delivery design work. Both the Darcy-Weisbach and Hazen-Williams equations require the inside pipe diameter.
- Q:Pipe joint thread, said in 2 / 3 / 4 points, what does that mean, how to convert ah?,
- A threaded pipe joint, said the 2 / 3 / 4 what is the meaning of: usually refers to the diameter of the pipes, is expressed in Imperial units; conversion relationship: 1 inches =25.4 mm, 1 inch =8, 1 points =1/8 inches =3.175 mm; then, 2 inches =2*3.175=6.35 mm; 3 English major is approximately equal to 10 mm; 4 points equal to approximately 15 mm. Preliminary estimates, according to the general 1 inches =25 mm; 1 =3 mm old!
- Q:i was wondering cuz we were messing around with one we found and my boyfriend said to make sure i dont breathe it in. i didnt try to and did and it wasn't much but i was curious if that's why he said not to(he hates people getting high) i wasnt trying to by the way. i'm just curious.
- The interconnect signals aren't standard across different manufacturers (and sometimes not even between different models from the same manufacturer). I'd be inclined to just bite the bullet and replace them all with the same model at the same time (then you know they'll work together). The wired interconnect models may never be standardized as it appears most manufacturers are moving towards the wireless interconnects (which probably aren't standardized either). :/
- Q:A fire hose held near the ground shoots water at a speed of 6.7 m/s.At what angles should the nozzle point in order that the water land 2.0 m away?
- Did you consider pipe friction based on the velocity and the friction attributed to elbows and other fittings including valves in bernoulli's equation?
- Q:Let's say you're on 3rd gear and there's a speed bump or a pedestrian crossing ahead and you have to slow down. Do you have to shift to a lower gear or can you just slightly press the clutch and the and the break? Also, it it possible to go from 1st gear straight to 4th, skipping 2nd and 3rd? Or do you have to change to each one at a time?
- you should use primer first, then the glue, make sure to cover both surfaces then give about a quarter turn when you push together
- Q:My mother and I never got along and I wanted to tell her about my boyfriend who works at the same school where my mother works. He's never done anything wrong nor has he done anything to my mother. My mother found out who my boyfriend is and is freaking furious. Although I am a single parent, in school all I asked was that she watch over my daughter till I finish school. I wanted to tell her about my boyfriend but he wasn't ready so I held off on it. My mom really believes the ugly rumors and awful things that people say. She claims she has the evidence she needs to get him fired. How is this so and is she even allowed to do that? I want to fix this because I feel it's all my fault thanks to my crazy mother. I am trying to stand up to her and I need advice or suggestions. Please help, anyone. And please no sarcasm. Thank you.
- its either the battery or if its more than about 8 years old you need a new smoke detector
- Q:A friend of mine gave me a used Mac Pro he found. Everything works fine except it has one of those annoying cable locks clamped on the back. He said he took bolt cutters to the cable to try and shorten it, but the lock part and a few inches of cable remain. I tried pulling on it and twisting it, but nothing works. I can't see a brand name on it, but its a combination type.
- The Darcy equation is : Head loss fLV^2/ 2dg For fittings : head loss KV^2/2g If you have no friction , the head loss in pipe is negligible but it also depends on the type of flow , laminar or turbulent, turbulent flow will have more losses ! Then the only loss left out is fittings loss and that will be the major loss in the piping for example losses through valves, nozzles, tees, bends etc.
- Q:Can you put auto locks in a 2001 sunfire that before didn't have any
- Not since 1977,when they added foil shielding to the outside. The radiation would cause the pacemaker to malfunction. You still should try to limit exposure, because the microwaves are generated in a magnetron and the pace maker is turned off by a magnet.Rapidly turning it on and off shortens the lifespan of the unit and can cause mafunctions.High voltage also is to be avoided, they have a magnetic field around them from the excited electrons.
