Q:How do vacuums cleaners work?
If you are serious, most work with a motor driven high velocity low volume air mover. Air is sucked through a collection reservoir of some sort, Air is admitted to the reservoir. Yes, they can make ones that are less likely to get clogged, but they must be larger, and have larger motors, reservoirs, and hoses, but those are less suitable for general purpose household or commercial cleaning due to the size of the machine and their power requirements. They are made big for industrial dust/debris collection in factories, and vacuum material collection trucks.
Q:cat fur and vacuums...Help?
I do it a different way. I cover everything with inexpensive cloth covers, and then just put the covers through the washer and dryer frequently. When I open the lint screen of my dryer immediately after this, it's covered with cat hair about half an inch thick. So that means I'm getting rid of the hair. I only use lint rollers on my good clothing, the kind I have to send to the dry cleaner for actual cleaning.
Q:Why is it when the majority of wives decide to depart they act like giant vacuum cleaners?
Well, that might have been your experience, but this action is NOT limited to females. Many males, if they don't literally back up the truck( and mine had three trucks) scheme to hide assets and often fail to pay child support.
Q:Atheists, please disprove this evidence for Creationism away?
Notwithstanding your obvious Poe, and the fact that vacuums are designed, not biologically evolved... You can see the evolution of engineering in vacuums in the Dyson Ball.
Q:Xbox 360 vacuum dust?
It's absolutely not safe, vacuum cleaners produce static electricity which can fry the system.
Q:Which is the best vacuum to pick up dog hairs?
I gotta love my Dyson! It is SO easy to see clogs in the clear hose. Any part that curves has a quick detach to check. It sucks great and picks the hair up no problem. No bags to buy and it really does not loose suction. I have had mine for six years now and am just as happy today as I was when I bought it.
Q:Why vacuum cleaners? Why not suction cleaners?
RandyG and bill are absolutely spot on I will vote for them, bless. The reason the hoovers (sic) were so called is that it sounded terribly scientific in an age (many, many years ago) that the science was an ultra-important thing, to the average Mrs of a household, specially in America. But my theory is simpler - a goddam sucker does not sound so very nice, and in the 1930's it would not have gone down well with the middle class US who were the people who would be buying them. Not even 60 years ago in the uk, wives would beat the carpets on the line out in the back yard 'cos they no way could afford a 'hoover' - think on't, lad...... They had no washing machine. They hadn't even heard of a dish washer. Most houses here had not got central heating, a telephone of any sort, and half had no fridge they used a 'larder' and shopped every day since nothing would keep. Points to ponder, what your Gran and Parents lived through, innit?
Q:if the universe is a vacuum, can you take a bunch of vacuums switched to "reverse" and expand the universe?
how can you switch nothing to reverse ?? You're just being silly.
Q:Why is my dog afraid of vacuum cleaners but not Lawnmowers.?
because he is a mans dog so he likes a mans power tools not a vacuum
Q:Vacuum Cleaners, What Ones Are Good?
Kirby is good and lasts forever, but uses a bag Rainbow is awesome, it vacuums into water, so you just dump it down the drain. I hear the cyclone ones aren't all they're cracked up to be.
