Calcium Silicon Powder
1. Description:
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.
Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:
(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.
(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.
(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

- I'll have to look more into this, I know tons of metal bands but this is an area I've never had much success finding, I know some of the early 90s gothic metal bands used Death Growls and clean vocals sometimes: Paradise Lost Amorphis My Dying Bride Theatre of Tragedy Tristitia Anathema but even in these it's pretty scarce, I keep an I on this question

- No, they aren't. Some metals are more reactive than some non-metals and some are less reactive. You can't say all the metals are more or less reactive than all the non-metals. The most reactive metal is Fr (francium) and the most reactive non-metal is F (fluorine). Elements become more reactive at the extremes of the periodic table. The elements in the lower-left corner are the most reactive metals and the elements in the upper-right corner (beside noble gases, they generally don't react at all) are the most reactive non-metals. There is a Pauling scale which measures the electronegativity of elements. In this scale, fluorine has a number of 4.0, oxygen 3.5 and francium -1.0. Hope that helps! Louise

- Metal is typically heavier, louder, usually with darker, and more aggressive lyrics (the exception being glam metal for the most part). Technically, metal is a genre of rock since it was born out of blues-rock but i always see them as different genres too, so yeah :P Rock is more popular, its easier for the masses to handle.

- Metal depends on what band you believe was the creator of it. More of a personal opinion. Death Metal came around as a result of Death. They played metal (hence, DM). Not sure what country they were from.
