- Very basically house lights shine on the the audience, stage lights on the actors. There are any number of types of stage lights, the most typical being par cans. Lights that bathe the entire stage in color are generally referred to as wash lights, and lights that highlight only a part of the stage are spot lights (a moving spot light is called a follow spot). Past that you get in to ellisoidals, fresnels, moving yoke lights, and specialty lights like gobos, oils etc.

This is why it was such a challenge, to get the first achromatic telescopes, that wouldn't disperse by color. Any lens-based telescope, would inevitably blur the colors of the subject. Until Newton came up with the idea, to FORGET using lenses as the active component, and to use mirrors instead.

- I would check to see if the fuse is blown that controls these lights. The fuse box should be located on the drivers side of the vehicle on the lower dash.
