Q:Why don't fire fighters use that white foamy stuff that you get in fire extinguishers to fight everyday fires, instead of water?Basically I was watching the news today and there was some cottage fire's some where in England and it just got me thinking. Is the white foamy stuff in fire extinguishers only good for small fires? That makes no sense though. And also if water is better for the bigger fire's then why aren't fire extinguishers filled with water. As soon as this popped in to my head I knew I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it.So to recap my main question is;Why is water used instead of the stuff in fire extinguishers to fight fires?Any help would be great. :)
Depending on the layout, you may have to cut into the floor. I would suggest using flew hose and c clamps if its accessible.
Q:I have extremely hard water, and my water softener has been broken for a few years. There's been quite a decrease in water pressure. I'm assuming this is from hard water deposits in the pipes. Is there anything that can be done about it? Can they be flushed out?If so, do you have any idea of what the cost might be? I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap.
If you are locked out and the keys are inside house and if you have a regular deadbolt lock, then it can only be locked from outside with the key, which makes me think the door is locked with the door knob lock which was pushed to lock by inside button or turner on knob. In that case you can use a credit card to get in by pushing card where bolt is at knob between door and jamb while shaking door a little back and forth.
Q:The pipe that is attached under the sink in the bathroom is corroded ,it is also attached to the wall.We cant put the other pipe back on bc their is no more threads to attach the drain.
C. in front of a public driveway You aren't supposed to block access in and out of a public driveway.
Q:I live in a studenthouse. In this house I have a small room and I dry my clothes just outside the room. But my landlord is not happy with me and others who live in this house. He says that he will allow things to be put in the hall anymore. This is because of fire safety. But I don?t like drying clothes inside the room I sleep, cook, and live in. Before I?ve noticed that this had led to health problems. What can I do? My landlord will throw all my clothes away if he finds them?
No, magnets won't normally set of a store alarm. The alarm uses a system kind of like radar. It's sending out a signal that the strip in the merchandise is tuned to. The tuning causes an echo to bounce back to the alarm system which sets it off. A magnet typically won't cause this echo. Nor will it interfere with the alarm system.
Q:i bought an alarm that i would connect the actuators to but i just want to know if i would need to get different door panels (from a neon that had automatic locks to begin with or i can just install generic ones wherever i want on the doors and that would be fine too? or is it possible to still have the manual button lock and be able to use that while in the car..if anyone did this before was there any cuttin of the door required or its a fairly simple installation.thanks
Usually the rechargeable units have a metal valve assembly. The plastic valve assemblies seem more prone to leaking down. Warranties are usually similar.
Q:Okay there is this cop who I always see around my office neighbor, gave me ridiculous $115 fine for parking in-front of fire hydrant couple of seconds. I just realize he always park there to get (guess what!) dunkin donuts. This is ridiculous! I think he gave me a ticket before because he thought i violated his spot or something! it was all his EGO! can I record him and send it to MV violation department? I mean he is not above the law.
There are two basic types of polyvinyl chloride plastic pipes. PVC and the stronger and more heat tolerant CPVC. Sections of pipe and fittings can be joined by threading and by solvent bonding.
Q:These equipments could have saved houses where wild fires are possible. Developers should be required to install these equipments or at least backyard fire hydrants where necessary.
It just so happens I live fairly close to a company which manufactures PE piping and fittings and their largest size is 1.2metre outside diameter (OD). However, I've read that a company called Weholite supplies culvert HDPE piping and they can manufacture any size up to 3 meter OD. Weholite 750mm, 900mm and 1,050mm pipes are used in highway drainage for the collection and disposal of surface and sub-surface water so this is probably their most common range.
Q:I was wondering if police ask you if your friends smoke marijuana, and if they do ask you how serious is the question? I don't smoke but my friends do, how will this affect my chances?
under your sink there is a U shaped pipe with a big nut around each end. loosen the two big nuts (put a pan under it first to catch the water) and the piece will come right out. You might need a pair of channel locks or big pliers to get it loose. It should not be to tight so you might be able to get it to come loose by putting a rag around it to get grip on it. After you get it out just clean it out and replace the same way it came apart. Snug the nuts back down and check for leaks. Its a fairly simple task.
Q:Why does the air conditioner outdoor pipe joint freeze and freeze in case of refrigeration?
Lack of fluoride: the tube frost, because the refrigerant has begun to vaporize here, into the internal machine has lost part of the heat absorption capacity of vaporization, air conditioning cooling effect worse.
Q:this is the kind of work we do, sheetrock, tile, carpet, taxture, painting, fenceing, room addition, some plumbing, some elect.and roofing, paint.
if im putting 2 steel pipe fittings together i always use pipe tape or dope. but if im thredding brass in to steel or the other way around some times i do and some times i dont. i have replaced lots of break air lines on trucks and i try to use tape or dope but some times i dont if its a hurry thing. some times im laying under trucks in the slush and snow when we have a plow truck blow a parking break line and in thoes siutwations pipe tape or dope is the last thing on my mind. im a mechanic at a highway deparment and some times we do what we gotta do when wer in a rush. as long as the lines you replaced did not leek after you wer done you are fine. threding plain brass in to a fitting and you get it tight enough it wont leek and im shure their was still some pipe tape or dope residue in the fitting you put the brass fitting in to. your wer right as long as it did not leek. if they fire you over this that is bs. good luck
