And before you say it I am aware that there are risks as there are risks with any piercing. so I'm 17 from London and wondering:How old do you have to be to get it done?Does anyone know a reputable place i can get it done?How much will it be?any experiences to share?: Hi I got it done a few months ago I love it! Its really not that sore at all just a slight nip and then bit warm afterwards lol! Only thing annoyed me was couldn't sleep on it for a while and that was always the side I slept on! Q:I'm trying to understand a problem in my physics book. The problem is this:A person is pulling on a rope, that is connected to a pulley on the ceiling. The rope then goes to a box with a pulley on it, and then up to the ceiling where the rope is connected (to the ceiling).The rope and pulleys are massless and frictionless.The book lists three forces (tension forces) going up and one weight force pulling down.My question is, why isn't there another force pulling against the tension of the rope from the guy pulling the rope?: well, the person is going to have to pull on the rope, and that will be another force that is not pictured in the book. if you think about it, when a rope is under tension, each end is getting pulled, like a tug of war, otherwise it just moves toward the other force. When the forces are balanced, the rope is in tension and does not move. The forces pictured in the book are tension provided by the weight. The person will have to add a tension force downward to compensate.

Q:I had my scaffold done on friday, and it's still very sore and swollen. My boyfriend's accidentally caught it a couple of times but not badly and i was wondering if the pain and swelling is normal and if there's anything i can do for it. I've been cleaning it with savlon and have been careful with it x: If it gets worse you should swear loudly at yourself for being so stupid.

I have one in each ear, and they cost 75 each ask to get it pierced with a smaller gauge, they usually pierce with 14g and it looks too big on most people and is more likely to bubble over. Im a girl so this wont be a problem for you, long hair really sucks with these piercings so I suggest pinning it back. Get the ear pierced that you are less likely to sleep on, getting it pulled on while you sleep really agitated the piercing. Keep it clean, use medicated or anti bacterial soap at least five times a day. clean it with qtips. uhm that's all I can think of right now. Best of Luck!

Q:I know it's soon, but my piercings swollen and quite sore when knocked slightly.I've only had it three or four days, but there's a swollen round lump right next to one pierced hole and I was worried it could be an early sign of a keloid. But I don't know if it's too soon to tell yet.I know they can take up to 6 months to heal, if not more, but I'm kinda paranoid about it.I've rinsed it after showering, used salt water on it every day and apart from that just washed it with water on a cotton bud.Any advice?: The soreness and swelling is normal. Try to really be careful about not knocking it. You're only going to get a keloid if you are prone to them, if you've never had a keloid you likely won't get it. It's hypertrophic scarring that is pretty common with industrial piercings which is why taking care of the piercing is really well. If you're using regular salt then that is a problem - it needs to be non-iodized sea salt. Soak the piercing twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with a mixture of 1/4th of a teaspoon of the sea salt to 8oz of hot water. Make sure you're not moving the bar around at all. Take ibuprofen and ice it for the swelling.
