Q:i am looking into the future and looking at what i need to buy for a horse *so i can save up enough*right now i'm looking at rugs and saddles.. i have been looking on the horseland website (sells all horse stuff for outside aussies)and i have noticed that some saddles range from $300 - $800 *could never afford one over $1000* ... there doesnt seem to be much difference between them both...
Your link just goes to the main menu page so I didn't get to see which saddle you were asking about. Basically a good saddle, if looked after will probably outlast you ! Rugs can be complicated, I don't know what sort of weather you get but here in the UK my horses are out for most of the time ( they only come in a night in the worst part of winter and they don't like that much either !) I have full neck rugs for really nasty cold time and ones without necks for when it's just normal winter weather. They don't wear any rug during the summer as a rule but if it rains for long periods ( as it has this year) I put the lighter neckless rugs on them. If it got sweaty during riding in winter then towelling dry is a good idea and you can also get a cooler rug - this acts like a string vest and stops the horse getting chilled while he's cooling down. As your horse would be going straight back into the field it would be best to cool him down on the way back from your ride so he doesn't get home so sweaty. You can't just go throwing thick rugs on sweaty horses so you would need to walk him round in a cooler to get him dried off first. If this turned out to be a problem with you spending ages cooling him down you could get him clipped which would stop him getting soaked but then you would need a really good rug to make up for the lack of winter coat.
Q:I'm trying to find a bright sky blue rug that's about 3 feet by 5 feet. Hopefully for less than 50 bucks?
wal-mart is usually a pretty good bet, i've found a lot of area rugs there for $20-$25. if you're looking for brighter colors though i'd try for Target...they tend to have some really bright colors in the dorm-kinda furnishing areas.
Q:I had roofs leaks in my 2 bedrooms (hurricane related) and filed an insurance claim. they covered replacing the carpet in the 2 bedrooms but NOT replacing the hallway and stairs' carpet because that was not damaged. The carpet is 10+ years old so of course i am replacing it all. I think it should be consider all one item, they say that because there is a 'break' between the room and the hallway, their practice is to only replace the damaged carpet -- though this is not defined in the policy. The new carpet is totally diff color. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have total replacement cost and it is State farm.
Unfortunately most insurers will do what State Farm did. It is unfortunate that the new carpet is a different colour. You should have been able to choose the colour. The same applies with roofing. I have seen one side of a roof replaced by insurance. Keep in mind that insurance is meant to bring you back to where you were. But it's a frustrating process and adjusters don't always have time to fully explain. Hope that helps
Q:What color of the tablecloth match well with blue carpet?
Grass green or bright yellow are suggested, which is very lively. if you like gorgeous color, you can pick light green or light yellow stripes
Q:Can regular liquid laundy detergent be used in a carpet cleaning machine?
Get Great Results with Windex and Water A friend of mine who does professional carpet cleaning told me to use equal amounts of Windex and hot water. I use it in my Bissell carpet cleaner with great results! My 5-year-old carpet is pale beige and still looks brand new even with six kids! I have also used vinegar for cleaning carpets but I haven't used ammonia based products because I have cats and ammonia is said to attract kitty no no's
Q:my mom wants to get a big but not too big or expense dragon rug. Where can she get it online? That really looks like a dragon? every time my mom searches for dragons rug on the computer she gets weird and not dragon rugs or even close to it. We live in a small town so the stores around here do not any dragon anythings. sO where can she find one that is worth the prices and the right size and looks like a real dragon and not a blob?
This okorder / Double sided tape may or may not hurt your rug. Usually, you'd do more damage to the floor with this than you would with the rug. Depending on what type of carpet it is, you almost always can use some dry cleaning solution such as afta
Q:I am thinking of buying a carpet shampooer. We just bought a house that has a lot of carpet. Is it smarter to buy a shapooer or keep having someone come in and do it for us? And if a shampooer is ideal which is the best brand?
Bissell Steam Pro....the best!!! Be sure to read all directions.
Q:Yo!My apartment floors are horrable tiles in the living and bed rooms and I hate it! It's cold and cracked up and ugly. Anyways, we started looking at area rugs but for the sizes we would need to cover most of the rooms we are only finding ones that cost like $1,000 - and we can't afford that - and thats at places like kohls and target, places I thought would be cheap. Are there any websites where I can buy large area rugs for cheap? Or could I even buy the kind of rugs they usually install but not install it? Where would I get that? At this point anything is going to look better then these stupid tiles!
I buy all of our large area rugs on OKorder. I bought one that is like 11 or 12 feet by 7 or 8 feet(sorry can't find my measuring tape) for $80.00 with shipping. It is a knock off Persian rug design. We have had it for over a year and it still looks great. Just nose around a little and be sure to check the sellers feedback to be sure you are dealing with a reputable seller and be sure to check out the shipping charges before deciding. Good luck!!
Q:Is there a not too expensive way to pretreat really bad carpet stains before I use a before I go over the entire carpet with a steamclean pro home machine thanks
Depends on the stain. Tell me more. Here are a few pointers: 1. Koolaid is taken out by using a steam iron, a PURE WHITE cloth, Ammonia (preferably lemon scented), and a steam Iron. Mix the Ammonia 1to1 with water and pour a small amount on the Kool-Aid stain. Place the white cloth on top of the stain and heat it with the Iron. Repeat as necessary. It is called Heat Transfer, the stain will soak up into the white cloth. If you use a colored cloth, the color from the cloth will soak into the carpet. 2. Urine when it dries turns to alkaline. The way to remove alkaline is with acid. Vinegar is an acid and works well. Also Protein stains like Blood and Urine set when you try to clean them with hot water, so use cold water when cleaning these types of stains. 3. For every 18 degrees of water temperature your soap will clean 100 percent better. Use VERY hot water to clean carpet, just so long as you are below 200 degrees. Thus the reason they call it steam cleaning. 4. Mechanical action (scrubbing) is the best way to clean most stains. Get vicious. 5. Always test any spot remover in a closet to make sure it is not taking out the color of your carpet. 6. Buy powdered water softener in your laundry soap section of the store and use it with your soap, it will make it work far better. 7. Keep it simple Stupid. Regular degreasers and cleaners work well in traffic lanes. Get a cheap pump up sprayer in your garden section of Walmart, add simple green and water, and spray the High traffic areas of your carpet and any spots. This is called a TLC or Traffic Lane Cleaner.
Q:we live in a rented apartment, we have carpet installed but we would prefer hard wood so much better. is there a way, inexpensive much preferred, to have hard wood over the carpet without damaging the carpet? hope to hear some interesting suggestions, thanks!!
You can't put hardwood over carpet. The softness of the carpet would let the hard floor flex and would eventually come apart, break or crack.
