- Q:How to use disc brake without slipping .sometimes when i use disc brakes the wheels slip and it makes the bike dis-balanced .So can u tell me about the position or any tips while using disc brake so that I can stop the motorcycle quickly without any problem .
- This is no difference if it is a MOTORcycle or a Mountain bike, traction is always questionable when you are pushing the edge. If you find the tire slipping you need to use less brake, this may not be easy as all brakes are not created equal. Keep in mind there is only so much traction available at any given moment, it can be used for acceleration, deceleration, cornering or a combination of these. First try using only one finger to brake with, if the brakes are still too grabby change the pads to a different compound. If this doesn't help you might also need to consider a different tire or tire compound. Lastly this could be just braking technique as you could be applying too much brake at the wrong time as in heavy braking in a corner, the last place you want to do hard braking.
- Q:does anyone know what is being checked while getting a safety on a motorcycle in ontario or anywhere in generelplease be specific lights , reflectors ,frame etc. thanks alot
- Head light - high low beam Tail light F R brake light Turn signals No cracked lenses - head light, tail light, turn signals. Tires - 2/32 inches tread depth in the center and no dry-rot on side walls. Horn - must be loud enough to hear in traffic (not like a limp duck). Brakes - not worn down to wear limits. Mirror - at least one and not broken Steering bearings - can't be loose, or have any indents. Fork seals - no leaks. No leaks of any fluids In the USA these are the quick checks (must have, most important). If the inspection station dis-likes you, they can think up some technicalities. If this stuff passes your own inspection and the inspection station won't pass your bike, take it to another inspection station.
- Q:Electric motorcycle comes with oil brake or disc brake, you will choose which kind of brake car, the two car brake system dominance is the majority
- Definitely a disc brake
- Q:Market "motorcycle modified parts modified under the brake pump hydraulic brake disc brakes ABS anti-lock device" can work? How is the effect?
- Is simply useless things,
- Q:I know how to bleed brakes, but is their a good way to fill brand new brake lines? Thanks!
- No need to buy any tools. Better with two people, one topping up the reservour with fluid and one squeezing the break leaver. First pump until you feel some resistance then slow down until you see the fluid running out of your callipers without any air bubbles in. Must make sure that the nipple you have loosened is not too loose but not so tight that the resistance is too great. Do each calliper seperately and you may need to go back to the first one again. Don't forget the rear one either. Seperate line but the same process. One warning Break fluid is highly corrosive so don't spill any on your paint work!!!
- Q:Motorcycle experts, Need your help!?
- The EX500 is a *super* motorbike (this coming from somebody who's been driving for over 25 years on a super many motorcycles the two great and small). The throttle reaction is nice and the capability is accessible in with fairly a kick once you provide it lots of throttle and revs. although, in case you cope with the throttle sensibly, you're rewarded with a motorbike it quite is quite elementary to administration. The coping with is amazingly candy besides, as quickly as you have learnt to deal with the motorbike correct, on all however the straightest of roads it's going to take an exceedingly commited rider to circulate away you in the back of. Cornering (on good rubber) they're virtually as good as motorcycles lots larger / swifter. Even on the straights, they are going to run as much as a hundred twenty five mph in case you have have been given the early kind. Do try-sit down on one however, in case you have have been given long legs you may discover the driving place a sprint cramped. The GS500 is likewise marvelous, yet is far less interesting while the throttle is wound totally open. The engine reaction is amazingly linear which makes for a predictable (some would say boring) experience. as quickly as you have learnt, you;ll be wanting to alter this motorbike while you need to maintain the EX. The Ninja 250 - good even yet it somewhat is - won't provide you the excitement that the two of the 500s will, and are easily harder to experience simply by ought to shop the engine on the boil to make progression. A Buell? Cool looking motorbike, yet no longer precisely situation unfastened. carry a rucksack to gather each and all the bits that fall off once you're driving it and purchase shares in Loctite.
- Q:i bought a motorcycle recently and ive been looking it over pretty good today, i noticed when i pushed the bike across the property that i could hear a little bit of a rattle/jingle sound coming from the front rotor areas, i felt around and found that the brake pads (not the calipers just the pads) can be wiggled around pretty easily they dont move far but they can very very easily be moved 1/8 inch to maybe 3/16 this is the same on both rotors (dual disc front brakes) but is more loose feeling on one then the other. i know on my truck the pads dont feel sloppy like that but thats my only reference. is this normal ? if not what could be wrong with them that would allow for this looseness. the bike stops fine, some minor intermittent squeeking is heard when braking at low speeds but no other noises and no vibrations coming from front end. what do you think?
- When I once removed the spring loaded plate that holds the pads down from my old ZX7RR, it did the same thing, and the brakes were fine. Probably missing that part on your calipers. No biggie.
- Q:I know a few reasons however would appreciate it if someone can explain some of the physics - how the kinetic energy is dissipated and why a motorcycle (even tough it has far me KE) can brake so much quicker. Tell me all the reasons if possible not just that the tyres are bigger.
- The braking system is irrelevent!! You mentioned the answer in your question!! It's the rubber footprint left by your tyres, that determin stopping ability! I ride a roadbike nowadays (of the bicycle variety) and I used to ride mainly Lambrettas twenty odd years ago (some had disc brakes, some were drum brakes). I can tell you now, that If I slammed on the anchors on my Heavy Lambretta at 30Mph I would stop far quicker than I could on my carbon fibre bike. At 30Mph my bike wheels would lock and I would skid to a halt (or, into the back of a car, - been there - done that!) - Purely because of the friction coefficiant of rubber to road.! Hope this helps.
- Q:Does anyone have experience using mopeds or motorcycles to commute to work in bad weather or in the winter? I‘m told by dealers that there is no reason they can‘t be used then, and they know people who do, but this may become my go to work vehicle. Reason being of course, gas mileage and having a vehcile that only meets my needs. I don‘t for example, need my four seater family sport sedan with a trunk big enough to sleep in and crappy gas mileage to take me to work everyday! Thanks for the input! and alternative options!CS
- I rode a suzuki everywhere I went for two years. I was not always happy, warm, or dry, but i always got to school, work, and home again. it is possible, but in the middle of a rainstorm, or with snow billowing around you, you sure wish for a car, and a heater. Good Luck
