Q:Ok so I was doing something stupid just now. Cuttiing a power cable that connects to the tv. Halfway through to cutting it, the wire explodes and hit my face o,o. So quickly, I turn all of the switches off and run to wash my face. I just wanted to know whether it's ok to turn all the switched back on cus I'm literally in the dark right now. And will there be any damage to my face since the wire explodes in my face?
Everything will be fine to turn the switches back on, but you must unplug the cord you were cutting first. If not, you'll hear another loud pop as the breaker switches off. Unplug the cord, then turn the switches back on. Before you plug the tv in, check the cord going to it for burn or charring. If you do not see any, then stand to the side of the tv away from the screen and back, and then plug it in. Be careful. Unplug the cut cord first!!!
Q:Power cable casing buried what are the requirements
1 It is advisable to select the route to lay the cable in a suitable way: 1 Avoid the area where the corrosion of the acid, alkali, or stray current is seriously affected by electrochemical corrosion
Q:So my vehicle's amp recently stopped working. It worked great after I installed it about a year before, so after testing for shorts, burnt out fuses, etc, I decided that the amp had died on me. After getting a new one-and it not working either-I checked the voltage at the end of the power cable where it hooks onto the amp. I get a 12v reading when the ignition is off, but only a 4v reading when it is in the run or aux. position. The in line fuse is good, as well as the battery (just had it checked). Any ideas as to why this is happening? As of this posting, I have NOT tried running a new power cable yet, but that is the next step if nobody has an answer. Thanks.
I had a similar problem a few years ago and simply couldn't make sense of it. I traced the power wire back testing it every couple feet and eventually got to the AGU fuse holder. I had ~14v on the battery side and very little voltage on the amp side. It LOOKED fine, and the fuse was fine, but something weird going on in the fuse holder itself simply wasn't making a good connection. I replaced it and was back up and running. I'm not going to say that's definitely your problem, but it's worth a check,
Q:hi i need some extra help in looking for a power cable for my pioneer kuro tv cable iv looked in OKorder and on pioneer and no joy does anyone have any ideas where i could get one please any help will be gratefully received thank you
It should be one of a couple standard styles. Electronics stores should have them.
Q:I have a power adapter that goes to a mixer (Denon DN-MC6000) and reads: INPUT 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 1.5A, OUTPUT: 12V - 3A. Now I know this is the right adapter but I don't know if I have the right cable that goes from the adapter to the wall. I have one that says 6A 250V~ but I dunno if its the right one. I have a few others but can someone tell me what will be the right one so I don't blow up my mixer :P thanks
This type of power cable can be plugged into any household power between 100 and 240 volts. So, any plug that fits into the wall plug is the right one. In the US and Canada the voltage is 110-120 volts. In the rest of the world 240 volts are used The plug and wire you mention is for the rest of the world. Now look at the adapter where you plug the cable into. Do they fit together? If yes go for it. If not keep looking.
Q:When I say different types, I mean different types of Xbox 360 203 watt power cables. And I know that my xbox 360 is compatible with 203 watt power cables.
No, it really doesn't matter. All xbox 360's can use the 203W power supply. Though you can not use the 175w or 150w power supply with a 203w xenon motherboard xbox. There are 2 different types of 203w power supply, there's a 2 pin and a 3 pin. It really doesn't matter which one you get, one is grounded and one isn't.
Q:Hi, I bought a geforce gtx 660 ti and with it came 2 X 6 pin PCI express power cables. Problem is I only have 2 connectors in my computer, so one cable is useless. Will 2 Athena Power Model CABLE-YPHD 8Molex Y Splitted Power Cables allow me to use both the PCI cables? Thanks.
I okorder and have good reviews. Make sure the cables in the picture match the ones you need to connect. My friend bought splitters and they work fine. They will work for you as long as you are not using the power supply that came with your computer. That may be the reason it only has two, because it isn't giving out the watts required to power a gtx 660. It needs a max of ~350watts. Combine that with the rest of your PC and you'll need a 600W power supply.
Q:i just got a junked up PS2 and i'm taking it apart to see what all is wrong with it and do a thorough cleaning of everything inside and i discovered that the problem is the power eject ribbon cable is tattered. is there anyway i can make a homemade style cable or repair the old one. i know there are like 5 to 10 bucks but im a major cheapa$$ so to say so any tips or tricks???
I'm afraid if its cracked where I think Its cracked you will not be able to repair it. You will have to find some way of replacing it. The signal you think is going through because enough will say I want to be turned on. Nevertheless there might be a workaround. I need you to put that cable back in and get your ps3 controller and press the PS icon. This can also turn on your PS3 remotely. If this causes it to turn on and run you can test to see if you need that cable or not by shutting down and removing it. If it works on the controller side this will have to be your power up option from here on out. By also pressing this button it will automatically detect the position so you will not need to press it second time. It won't matter thankfully if its a shock controller or a six axis... this method works for both.
Q:What kind of cable does the power cable 3 (1 * 240) +2 (1 * 120) Is it a separate cable?
Although there is a relatively thick cable inside the cable to prevent a very thin cable was broken, but the insulation is not iron, after all, is generally a VB tube is also a corrugated pipe PVC pipe is also too iron
Q:can i use this to power a pcie x16 card in a pcie x1 slot
That depends on what you mean by 'power'. You can use it to connect a PCIe x16 card to a PCIe x1 slot but it'll only have one PCIe lane connected, meaning that the interface will only have 1/16th of the bandwidth. That's fine for something like using a graphics card to mine Litecoin but not for gaming. As for powering it, if the card uses a lot of power so has external power connectors like a graphics card then you still need to connect those, if it normally runs without an extra power cable then it'll be fine. You'll notice that most of the reviews there are from people who were building Bitcoin/Litecoin mining rigs. When doing that the graphics cards are working flat out but there's not a lot of data being sent through the interface so a x1 interface is fine, when gaming the interface has to carry a lot more information so this would really slow it down. It would be fine for just providing a way to plug in a cheap graphics card to provide a second display for normal 2D use though but its 3D performance would suffer.
