Q:like in movies how do you connect like some wire to start the car? also which wires? I'm curious not trying to take anyone's car.
Modern cars cannot be started that away. The older ie 1974 and younger can be.
Q:why is neutral wire.explain plz
For current to flow you need a complete circuit. The neutral point of the generator winding at the power station is connected to the ground or earth and the neutral point of the transformer in your local sub-station is connected to earth. Believe it or not this completes the circuit to allow the current to flow since the neutral connection in your house is connected to the local sub-station transformer neutral.
Q:I have a audiofonics adf-240 and I want to wire it to 1 ohm
you do no longer cord the amp you cord the subs. seem up the wiring optons on your subs and notice the thank you to drop the ohms. remember you will make greater potential yet your amp will run warmer and wont final as long except carried out properly.
Q:Quick question with hopefully an easy answer. I had a dimmer switch go bad on a light in a dining room. I bought a new switch and put it in. It was working fine, so I thought, then I noticed that when the dining room light is off, the dimmer works on everything else on the circuit, for example outside lights, hall lights, etc. I can dim all of those things when this switch certainly didn't do that before. Also, if the dining room light is on, all of the other things on the circuit I mentioned before do not work at all. I've obviously incorrectly wired the switch somehow, any thoughts on what I did incorrectly and how to fix?
Funny to me but not for you! Not to worry I'll try to help you out, when you were replacing the switch it sounds to me that you crossed the hot and the switch leg. Open the switch up and turn the power off a the breaker before you go into the switch swap the leads by that I mean connect the leads from the top of the switch to the bottom of the switch and bottom to top hopefully this will solve your problem.
Q:I m wondering if there s a Neutral Wire in this picture (yes I turned off the breaker to get this photo). I want to put in a quot;Smart Light Switchand they require a Neutral Wire. I ll have an electrician do the work, but want to make sure the wire exists first.
the neutral wire is white and connected to the silver screw ,,, the darker screw is hot ,,, the yellow wire is the wrong colour as it appears to be hot as well ( should be red or black not yellow )
Q:I have this ipod cord in my car to play music off of, and at first it started cutting out. I would move the wire in a specific spot to a position to where it would work. Then eventually it just stopped working all together, so im assuming the wires inside have been damaged. Now as i said before in a specific spot so im pretty positive i know where it is broken at, but ive never actually spliced a wire, or soldered before. This is where i need help. What tools and materials will i need to fix the wire? Also, how would i fix it? Thanks for the help in advance!
The wires in those little patch cords and headphones and stuff are often very fine and hard to splice or solder. You could get you some wire cutters and wire strippers and a soldering iron and some electrical tape or shrink wrap and go at it, but it would probably be just as well to get another cord.
Q:plz answer correctly as soon as possible......why we use stranded 500kV wire?
There are many uses for stranded wire, from 5V to 500kV, and the reasons are very different. I am assuming since you say 500kV you mean high voltage transmission conductors? If that is the case the reason mainly is because of the physical strength of the conductor and manufacturing processes. For example a solid aluminum conductor with such large diameter is not realistic. When conductor spans large distances the weight of aluminum itself would tear it apart. Therefore a normal conductor would be something like 336 ACSR. ACSR meaning aluminum conductor steel reinforced. Steel is the inner wire for strength, and the outer wire is many aluminum wires wrapped together for carrying the electricity... Hopefully this was of some help.
Q:Hello my question are:Examples given for wired and wireless communications systems?Compare and contrasted how wired and wireless communications systems function? Assessed the risks associated with wired and wireless communcations systems?(if you can put in simple details that would be helpful, because I understand parts of it but not all)Thank you
wired is connected by ethernet cables and is harder to hack into, while wireless is over the air and easier to hack, so the main difference is security and encryption. Wireless users have to share the bandwidth, wire have set bandwidth. BUT (big but) wireless is portable while wired is not. Now all this is computer communications.
Q:i need to know how much wire size i have to put for 380 volts supply
Mike is correct. What country are you in? China or Korea? I work as an electrician on industrial equipment. Building a 380 machine now for China. Anyway, it is current that counts. I have used 22 AWg for 480V voltage meters and 2AWG for 24V.
Q:I'm trying to install an aftermarket radio in my 2005 suzuki forenza, but it isn't working. The display on the radio doesn't even light up. I'm thinking that it is because there are some unused wires on the oem harness. There is no plug on the original harness thanks to a previous owner, so an adapter plug is out of the question, so i just need to know what wires should or should not be connected to what other wires. The ones which have no equivalent on the aftermarket radio are: illumination wire, and dimmer wire. If someone could provide some info, that would be awesome. The radio being installed is a sony cdx-gt57up.
