Q:i have a new ceiling light i am trying to wire. there are 3 black wires and 3 white wires.?
the black wires supplies power, the white is your safety. don't wire white and black together. on the fan you are installing, normally, one black gives power to the light ,the other to the fan. you must connect white to white and black to black. hope this helps
Q:wiring ceiling fan / light fixture - old house?
Most fans have a wiring schematic and this will tell you how to wire it. Normally black is the power, green is a ground, which you don't have, and as for the red wires I'm not sure. Is this a new fan or one that has been used before. In the USA we have a white wire which is a neutral. I'm puzzled about the two red wires, these may have been added at a later date. If your in a country that has 240 volts then this may be an explanation. Regards, Dale
Q:Wireless vs. Wired?
Very unusual for a wired Ethernet connection to be slower than a wireless connection. I would check cabling, also verify that you router is actually routing via NAT, some companies might try to prevent more than one computer from connecting to them without a specific contract, if your router can NAT the address, this will make it seem like you have only one computer connected. The problem is most likely a cabling issue, or misconfiguration on the Network card itself.
Q:what happen if i use two different Electric wires?
This does not sound like a conventional setup that meets code. There are two ways to connect switched power to a box. The first is to do the switching before the box, in which case you should see one black, one white, and one bare copper wire (ground) coming out of the box. You would hook your fixture as follows: black to black, white to white, and green and bare to the box. The second configuration has the wires from the switch joining the power wires (black, white, ground) in the box. In this case, the black wire should always be hot, no matter what position the light switch is in. The wires from the switch should be the same as from the circuit: black, white and bare copper (ground). What you describe sounds very suspicious, unsafe, and not to code. Unless you are very familiar with safe electrical practices and residential wiring, I suggest you call in an electrician to troubleshoot the problem and correct it.
Q:When wiring a ceiling fan the directions state to wire the black to the black and the black/white to the red?
Black wire on the fan is for the fan motor, red wire in the fan is for the light, the white wire is the neutral wire. So if you do want to switch the light off and on you have to tie red wire to the switch and the black wire can be tied to the hot at the ceiling box so you can control the fan with the chain only. If you have one switch leg in your circuit then you cannot do anything but switch them both if you tie them together. I think I am understanding what you are saying here. White Alyse ties to white Black is for the fan motor and the red is for the light. If you have three wires in the switch then you can tie them the same way color to color. Hope this has not confused you You can email me if you need further help
Q:Wiring my sub to ampli. help!?
biggest wire you can afford to power the amp...and dragon breath above drives aroud with headlights dimming every time the base hits...that is why we us caps..to keep large current draw from hitting the battery and alternator and dimming the lights....or dragon just don't have a system that will dim his head lights lol....sorry dragon just poking fun....but if i don't run caps my headlights look like strobe lights at night
Q:automotive electrical wires?
Depends on what your hooking up? Look at the unit where the wires go in and there may be a +(hot) or -(ground) marking, and the ground wire is usually black and the hot is usually red, orange or yellow.
Q:Power control wire?
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/awoXJ IF your car had a power antenna, then you should be OK. IF it does NOT then I would question where the wire is going before adding another wire. The problem is that the remote turn on or power antenna turn on lead coming out of the head unit cannot handle much current draw. Hooking too many things to it without using a relay can burn out the circuit inside of the head unit.
Q:12/3 wire to 14/2 wire?
No you should either use a 20 amp breaker and 20 amp recepticles or if you use a 15 amp breaker then use 14/2 or 14/3 wire. Too heavy of wire creates a fire risk. If your new home was wired to code, this seems quite odd.
Q:wire color codes for 94 toyota truck 22re?
The firing order should be 1-3-4-2 (on cap) The cylinder order; from front to back 1-2-3-4 Most distributor caps will be marked with the proper numbers if yours is not you may want to get a more expensive cap
