Q:i got the old faucet off just fine, but am having trouble reconnecting the water supply. every time i try to screw it on it starts out fine when i twist it on with my fingers, but as soon as i try to tighten it further with the basin wrench both hot and cold lines screw on very crooked. after a couple of tries i thought maybe it wouldnt cause that much of a problem so after i turned them as far as they would go i turned the valves back on to see and water sprayed everywhere. what am i doing wrong?
You cross-threaded the faucet and possibly the connecting lines. You have to replace both. Next time make sure you have the threads correctly aligned before you tighten them.
Q:Double hole basin faucet how to install, what tools?
Double hole is mainly for hot and cold water mixed with water, no hot water, just take a cold water pipe. The other who is blocking it.
Q:Tablet and pot under the basin difference between the choice?
The advantages of the table: easy to install, easy to disassemble and repair; Disadvantages: and the table of the link prone to the tank tank leakage and health hazards, the installation is not careful, then there will be exposed glass
Q:Taiwan basin with a single hole is good or three holes of the good, what are the advantages and disadvantages
From the appearance, the three holes will be more style, Europe and the United States market prefer to use three holes.
Q:I had new sink with faucet installed and think the faucet is too small since it is not over the drain. Kindly advise...
It doesn't really matter.
Q:What is the size of the faucet mounting hole in the sink basin?
The mounting hole of the standard mounting table should be 35mm in diameter.
Q:Hi, I recently replaced a washer on my hot water faucet and now when running the hot and cold water to shower etc. both run for a bit of time and then I hear a thunk noise (loud enough to hear above the noise of water running) and the hot water will drop off as if it is turned off. I then turn on more and the water runs with no problem. This is constant every time I use it. Any ideas. I believe my cold water slows down also but cannot be sure. I have two handle faucet with a pull up button (for shower) on spout. Sometimes the water after turning it up will come out of the faucet head alittle as if the water is pushing out where ever it can. Thank you for any help you can give me.
a rubber washer can warm up with hot water and swell which shuts the water off. That usually means you have the wrong washer in there. since u already threw the old one away lots of luck.
Q:Wash basin faucet double hole size how much distance
Now the new national standard basin double hole faucet distance is 102 mm, but some products or 15cm. Note that the distance from the bathtub faucet is 150 mm.
Q:Yes I have all the proper tools, I'm using a basin wrench...I've got the old kitchen faucet disassembled...one retainer nut is off after some effort, but the other won't budge (white plastic style)...I can't get it off and it's the only thing holding me back from getting my new faucet in...this is suppose to be an easy project but it's killing my entire day, please help if you have advice!
spray WD40 on it this may take a couple of sprays but should do the trick i hope this helps you
Q:These appear to be made such that one could turn it by hand. Unfortunately these are so tight I can't budge them. Maybe if I were Hercules I could, but I'm not.I've searched for the best way to remove these. I've seen a basin wrench mentioned, but these seem to be made for removing metal nuts. I haven't seen anyone mentioning using one of these for a nylon nut. Will a basin wrench work for this? If not, what tool does one use for this?
I replace a lot of faucets in my handiman business and after fighting these things day in and day out I finally designed a tool that I made in my shop at home that works like a charm. It's a piece of 1" x 12" galvanized steel pipe. On one end I cut 2 sets of notches in the sides directly across from one another with a hacksaw, then knocked the small pieces out, leaving what looks like the top of a chess rook. The 1" pipe opening is big enough to slide over the brass threaded shank that the nut screws onto and the four teeth grab the four tabs on the nylon nut. I drilled a 1/4" hole in the opposite end, through both sides for the shank of a screwdriver. Works like a charm and saves the knuckles and a lot of cuss words.
