Q:so funny story haha. i was at softball practice last night at an indoor facility. The ground is made of an astroturf- carpet type material. the drill was to practice sliding on a piece of cardboard. i however slid a bit too early and skinned my thigh on the carpet/astroturf stuff. Now i have a giant burn thing about the size of my fist on my right thigh. It oozes constantly (which is extremely gross!) Last night i slept with it uncovered hoping it would dry up a bit, but it didn't. i taped a piece of medical gauze over it today for school, but it oozed right through! Also, when i went to take it off, the gauze was stuck right to it, and i had to yank it off hard, and it hurt soooo badd. i really don't want to have to do it again! Can someone please tell me how to make the pain go away (it burns!), make it dry up, and stop oozing? I've skinned myself before, but this is the worst one i've ever had.
Carpet Burn Treatment
Q:So somebody spilt hydrogen peroxide on the carpet and now it's bleached! The original color was kinda a beige color and I need to know is there any possible way at all to get rid of this or kinda dirty it up to look beige... Please help!
I don't know if it will work. Spray the carpet with hydrogen peroxide. Then think about dying the carpet back to beige.
Q:Hello, my cat keeps peeing on the rug in the laundry room. My mom has to wash the rug daily becasue she pees on it during the day. The rug is bigger with a rubber bottom,is that the problem? She also used to pee on the bathroom rug and it was little, with also a rubber bottom and we had to get rid of that rug.My mom hasnt taken her to the vet yet...does anyone have and easy and simple recipies to get her away from the rug? Thanks Taylor :)
She may need to be taken to the vet, she may have UTI, or Urinary Tract Infection, our older cat has this and she pees on the coach. You may either need to remove the rug from the room, however she may pee on the floor, get her a litter box in the laundry room, or sanitize the rug very well. You could also replace the rug with something water proof, if that would work in your house. I found some symptoms of UTI in cats and you may check to see if your cat has any of them! Good Luck with your cat and I hope that I helped you out!
Q:I understand that my knee-skin was torn/burnt in one direction or another all at once...but why does it hurt so bad?
The reason rug burns hurt so much is becaue you are only scraping the top layer of skin off. That exposes all the nerves under the top layer of skin. These nerves are usually covered so they are sensitive.
Q:I have been instructed by my HOA to quot;Carpet all floorsquot; as I laid a vinyl plank and it's against HOA rules. Could I get away with laying carpet tiles over this? I have pets and I believe carpet tiles will work better as I can replace a tile if it becomes damaged.
They are pretty equal in the sound department. Your HOA is the best bet though, they may not define carpet as carpet tiles. Better to clarify with them first rather than spend money twice.
Q:my dog had one to many accidents on my carpet what is the best carpet cleaner to use.
Well if you're meaning carpet shampooer I like Bissell Resolve is a good carpet cleaning liquid
Q:do you have to have a specific prayer rug? I have one from Saudi Arabia. Would that work
nope its really not necessary to have a specific prayer rug but its better to have one.
Q:I need a list of stories that involves magic carpets. Because I really need to find a certain story because of a play were doing. Can anyone help me?
Magic carpets have appeared in literature from almost Biblical times through the present day. The popularity of One Thousand and One Nights brought magic carpets to the attention of Western audiences. The literary traditions of several other cultures also feature magical carpets. The magic carpet of Tangu, also called Prince Housain's carpet was a seemingly worthless carpet from Tangu in Persia that acted as a magic carpet. It was featured in tales from One Thousand and One Nights. ....
Q:I'm looking into buying an electric fireplace for my bedroom, but the whole room is carpeted.Do you have an electric fireplace, especially one that's set on a carpeted floor? Tell me about your experience with it.Thank you!
Since your house is newer, unless you specifically purchased carpet with flame resistance, it's going to be a synthetic material like nylon or polypropylene with a really low melting point. All of the different types have a lower melting point than wood will burn at. The question you need to ask the fireplace salesman is, what temperature does the unit emit at the base? If it's enough to melt the material, put clay bricks underneath it. Clay is a natural insulator, and you can set em up in some art deco style manner. Also little sparks have a tendency of getting in carpet and I have a woodburning fireplace in the basement, it's messy; bringing in wood brings in bugs, look up your local bugs.. So make sure you plan for keeping the carpet clean and spark-free!
Q:My vacuum cleaner picks up large amounts of powder every time I vacuum. The powder color is light grey and I am worried it may cause health issues for my family.I had the carpet professionally cleaned twice, but the powder is still there. What could it be? Should I have it lab tested? Please help!!
its just dust. That's why carpet isnt good to have in closed places or just generally in your house. It holds in lots of dust and pet hair and other stuff in the air that settles. Its most likely nothing toxic but it can have negative effects on health in the long run like shortness of breath. best advice...save up some money and remove the carpet and put tiles or hardwood flooring (easier to maintain too) Or you could vacuum like twice a week (at least).
