Q:0 gauge power wire with 4 gauge ground?
Don't do it you will get allectorcutted.
Q:what gauge speaker wire to use?
A Powered subwoofer does not use speaker wire - it usually uses a RCA cable. EDIT: Ok - some older subwoofers only have speaker inputs and speaker outputs. You run speaker wire from the Left/Right speaker outputs to the sub, it strips off the sounds it wants to produce, and it passes the other sounds onto the other speakers. I suggest some good oxygen free 12 ga wire. There is a roll off effect with higher frequency sounds and long runs of speaker wire. It usually does not matter for a Home Theater system, but you can hear it with a high-end music system. Thicker wire reduces the effect. Since with a sub you would be running wires to the sub, then back to the L/R speakers, you could be using 15-30 ft of wire. Get a spool of good 12 ga from a speaker building site or get some of the Carol 12 speaker wire from Home Depot.
Q:installing ceiling fan, 4 wires?
Before I answer this again I would like to know. What has 4 wires the ceiling box or the fan/light kit. Are they comming out of a three wire together? (one piece of romex) from differant directions? Black is hot. colored(other than green) is wired to hot and may be hot also. White is neutral same as ground but should not be wired to or with a ground Green or bare copper is ground
Q:How can I identify the hot wire when I only have two black wires and no white wire in knob and tube wiring?
ok, a light switch is different then a outlet plug. the black wire is the hot wire and comes in to one side if the switch and goes out the other side. the switch just open the circuit to turn off the light or closes the circuit to turn it on.
Q:Sony EXR-10 am/fm/cassette wiring?
factory radios have extra wires that are not needed with an aftermarket install most of the time (wires that control the dimmer on the radio, speed sensitive volume) you will need three power wires (constant, ignition, and ground), plus your speaker wires use a test light to test your wires, usually at the radio the yellow wire is your constant, the red is your ignition, and black is always ground to find your constant use the test light, it will be hot at all times so that your radio can remember the time, and your settings- next you need your ignition, it is only hot when the key is on or in the accessory position, to tell the radio when to come on- the ground is self explanatory to find which wires go to what speakers all you need is a 9v battery, put the positive end to a wire and test all of the other wires to the negative side and you will hear a crackling noise from a speaker when you have the right combination
Q:hooking a remote wire to jvc kd g220?
The KD-G220 has only a blue/white remote output, and no true power antenna wire. If you have a power antenna, then you'll want to connect both the antenna wire from the harness and the amp's remote wire to the blue/white wire from the head unit. You don't really need any kind of adapter; just crimp or solder all three wires together. The head unit should be able to activate the amplifier and the power antenna from the same output without a problem. Electhrolite, I'm not sure how old the head units are that you've worked with, but any modern head unit's remote output is designed specifically to maintain the remote voltage for as long as the head unit is switched on. Keep in mind that the current draw on most amplifiers' remote terminal is less than .05 amps. There's no need to connect to an accessory power wire instead.
Q:what color wire is accessory power in 1979 camaro?
1979 Chevrolet Camaro Car Radio Wire Diagram Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow Car Radio Ground Wire: Black Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Light Brown Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Pink Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 3 1/2″ Car Audio Front Speakers Location: Dash Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6″ x 9″ Speakers Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: Rear Deck Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue
Q:Do i need a wire harness or a wire connector?
First off, if there are bare wires, meaning they are all loose and you see copper then you are in for a rough time. If they are still wired into the stock harness and connectors it will be much easier. If you have a stock harness and connectors, you should buy a vehicle harness adaptor that is correct for your car. Just about any stereo shop should be able to get them. This will plug into your stock harness and give you labeled wires to connect to the harness you get with the new head unit. Just splice them together and you should be good. Very straight forward. Just follow the instructions. If you have bare wire then you will need to get a chilton's or haynes manual for your car. There should be a wiring diagram that lists the color codes for the what wire is what. Use that to splice into the deck harness. This is the harder route because you don't have a lot of slack on the stock wires and its a headache to keep it all strait in your mind.
Q:what type of wire can u use for amp?
Wire is wire but stranded wire is better than solid which is generally used in home wiring. The gauge of the wire is what is most important. The gauge of wire is determined by the amperage of the equipment. 16AWG - 10A 14AWG - 15A 12AWG - 20A 10AWG - 30A 8AWG - 55A 6AWG - 75A 4AWG - 95A 2AWG - 130A 0AWG - 170A
Q:Auto electrical wiring?
a ground runs from light assembly to the body of the car (unit body cars)usually just trace the wires if you can or look up a wiring schematic on the internet for your car that's the best thing to do actually or buy a manual with the electrical diagrams good luck
