Q:I currently operate a rug store that sells almost all persian rugs in Santa Rosa California (in the San Fransisco bay area). Operation is rather stable but I have two issues.1. I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. (internet is 600, mine are 3000). If you put the rugs side by side you can DEFINATELY tell the drastic difference in quality. How should I cope with this?2. I am hoping to think of an idea used to promote the sale of these rugs. Any sort of promotion would be great just to get people to start buying.I have money to spend on ideas. Q:Just a simple question is there any carpet cleaner thats okay for ferrets the room my ferrets play in i rearranged and was gonna clean the carpet. But i know ferrets use smell as one of there main senses so i didn't wanna clean it with something to strong any suggestions? is there a specific safe for ferrets carpet cleaner or is just regular carpet cleaner safe. Bissell makes a Pet formula for steam extracting machines. It is about $20 and it smells great. I have 3 cats and a dog. I use it with my steamer a lot.

Use hairspray but the kind in an aresol can and dab don't rub, keep using fresh paper towel, I've gotten pen and grease out of coats, carpet etc with it but the trick it to dab and keep using fresh paper towel. Also when you get to just a bit left scrub it with TSP Tri Sodium Phosphate worked for me with chinese red candle spill on my beige carpet, it was aa wool carpet worked really well, with candle paper towel and an iron, ink just paper towel and aresol hairspray. Q:just found out my light turnout rugs from last year to keep my horses protected from the wind and rain as they live out all year but they are kinda stinky as theyv been storred in the yards shed, the writing on the tag has wore away so i cant see what it says about washing them?they are amigo light turnouts.do you wash yours in any particular way? and what do you use to wash them in?

They should be washed regularly to help keep your horse's coat clean and healthy. This is every rug - indoor, outdoor, fleeces, sheets etc. The easiest way to clean it yourself is to get a big tub (a bath will do!) and fill it with hot water and soap flakes (get something suitable for washing baby clothes in and make sure it is non bio) - I use something called Granny's Soap Flakes, get them in Tesco :). Put the rug in the water with the soap flakes and use a brush or a stick or something to move it round and clean it thoroughly. You might want to leave it to soak for a little while first. If it's really muddy, I suggest hosing it off with the hosepipe first to get the worst off. Then once you've cleaned it as much as you can in the tub, rinse thoroughly and hang out to dry. You may need to wash it more than once if it's very dirty. They will need to be re-proofed at least every other winter or they will not keep your horse dry. To be honest, I find it easier to get my rugs cleaned professionaly. Most places offer a collection/delivery service and it's not expensive - usually about ?12 for a turnout wash and ?10 for a stable. That's not bad when you consider how much time and effort you have to put into washing it yourself! Plus they get them much cleaner!!

Q:Also... what would be cheaper? Carpet, carpet tile, or laminate?I ask because these stupid companies (Lowes, Home Depot, etc) keep making it seem like there's a difference between carpet and carpet tile and it seems like carpet tile is cheaper.Why would it be cheaper? It actually seems like it would cost less than laminate but I have absolutely no idea why or what to look for.I'm looking for new flooring for my living room.

Carpet tile is some times flat and carpet is Fluffy Carpet tile you can put any way and has desing But carpetis easer to install

Q:Okay, my little puppy tore up the carpet at my doorway where the hard wood floor meets the carpet. I have OCD and it bothers me so bad! lol! Provided you can get the same type of carpet, you can seem in a piece. Basically you need carpet seeming tape, new carpet, and a carpet seeming iron. You have to take a straight edge or a square and cut off the bad section. Cut to match new section with straight edge or square. Warm up seaming iron match the run of the new carpet with The run of the old otherwise it will look really bad. Lay seam tape half and half between old and new carpet. .. better yet it would be esier for you to look up how to seam carpet on youtube. Good luck

Q:I just bought this big wool shag Rug.. and its really nice except it shedding..there is red hair balls everywere... on the floor...on my cloths ...its almost like having a big red dog that sheds constantly! what can i do ? is there something to spay on it ? someone suggested to me to use hairspray???... any advice?

That's natural for a good wool rug. Don't use hair spray on it. That will just make it get dirty faster. Use the vacuum on it every day or every other day. After a couple weeks, the shedding should let up.
