- Use the 4 gauge wire (thicker) for your power and then the 8 gauge wire for speakers and ground. If you are wiring a stereo with an amp, its best to ground both at the same spot to reduce what is called ground loop. Otherwise, you may hear engine noise through your speakers and possibly clicks when using your turn signals.

- loxotox has finally conviced me that he is obviously lying about his accomplishments. There is no way in hell that 2 or 4 gauge wire will fit to wire up the coils on these subs. It is physically impossible, unless you shave down the wire. I would not recomend doing that at all, that is speaking from what I know about electronics. I would suggest using 12 or maybe 10 gauge wire. You can use lighter wire but will not get optimum performance from your sub.
- Q:My house is wired for surround sound. The wires coming out of the speakers holes are not labeled as far as i can tell but the wires that are coming out of housing that go into the back of the receiver are labeled 26,27,30,and 31. - Nope, sorry. You should be able to hook all the speakers up and plug one wire into the receiver at a time. It may take a few min, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out.

- connect the fan black wire and the fan blue wire to the house black wire. then connect the white fan wire to the white house wire. connect the short green wire from the fan and fan bracket to the copper wire. the blue is the power wire to the light on the fan. Good luck...
- Q:I am trying to replace my cigarette lighter on my car. The replacement requires the wiring to to be redone. - You need to get a test light and find a wire under the dash or coming from the ignition that has power when the key is turned on. If you want the plug to have power when the key is off then you will need to find a wire that has power when the key is off. Once you find the wire make sure its thicker wire and splice into it.

- Q:I'm not sure what kind of wire to use to make wire rings. I had found 50ft of thin wire for a cheap price from city mill. Is there a difference between wire from city mill and wire from Walmart or Ben Franklin? I went to Walmart yesterday and the wire was expensive for such a short length. Am I able to use wire from city mill or is it different from wire you would get from a craft store? To me, wire is wire but i really don't know much about crafts.

- The other answer that has directions doesn't sound right for your case. Do you have a link to the actual product? Two white wires sounds strange, unless they have stripes or something to differentiate them. It seems pointless to have 2 wires that would just be connected together. Give me a link or the actual brand/model number and I'll give more information.

- These two wires provide the voltage difference (called potential difference) that is responsible for driving the current through an appliance. Live and neutral are terms most commonly use with mains electrical supply .. they are equivalent to + (live) and - used with batteries and other DC sources. The live wire is at the higher voltage (most dangerous) and the neutral is usually close to ground voltage (0 V). Both wires together form the complete circuit required for the current .. from the supply (through the live wire) to the appliance and back to the supply (through the neutral wire). In a mains circuit a switch is always connected into the live wire so that the high voltage is disconnected from the appliance. A switch connected in the neutral wire prevents the appliance from working (so it appears to be off) because there is a break in the circuit .. but the high voltage is still connected to the appliance which may be dangerous. For the greatest safety a switch should disconnect both live and neutral wires at the same time.
