FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q:I had two vacuum cleaners from Bissell. One has a problem with the belt piece and can't be repaired, and the other has started to come apart (roller and roller pin, belt latch, and even the dust cup has come off the vacuum cleaner on its own and not even full.)I have been meaning to get a new vacuum cleaner since both cleaners are pretty old. I have a hard tiled floor in the bathroom, kitchen, and pantry (where my cat has her litter box), and I have a carpeted floor in both the living room and bedroom. I'm on a tight budget and I have to keep my apartment extremely clean for my landlord's random inspections,
The reviews for it seem to be good overall, 57% of them were five stars out of five. Because it's so affordable it can't hurt to give it a try.
Q:How to clean a portable vacuum cleaner?
On the use of filter paper as a filter medium filter, use a soft bristle brush to dust on the filter paper, be careful not to brush the dust, filter paper brush bad;
Q:What is the best vacuum cleaner made?
You’ve okorder
Q:What would you do if your child has phobias of water, darkness, cars, vacuum cleaners and dust?
Desensitize her to her fears. Vacuum: Have her sit on the couch and show her the vacuum but do not turn it on. Point out what every visible part of the vacuum is and explain what the vacuum does. Then, have her touch the different parts of the vacuum. After this, show her how to turn the vacuum on and have her turn it on. Convince her to push the vacuum. Go slowly and, eventually, she will lose her fear of the vacuum. Cars: Show her pictures of cars in her favorite color. Show her different kinds of cars, trucks, vans, buses etc. Tell her how important cars are and that they can take her places like the store, school, the park, etc. Have her sit in the car with you and have a picnic. Allow her to honk the horn, turn the wipers on and play with the radio. Then, plug her in and turn the car on. Tell her that cars are not toys, she should never get in one alone and she should never crawl under one or stand behind one. Later, turn the car on and have her stand outside the car with you so she can experience the noise while you explain car safety to her. Water: Play some fun games in the bathtub. Show her the shower and have her use it to make bubbles in the bath. Put colored bubbles in the water and use toys and such. You can even put on a swimsuit and get in with her so she isn't so afraid. Take her to places where she can play in a shallow pool and where you guys can look at waterfalls. Show her video's of water falls on youtube. Darkness: This is a common fear. Try playing games in the dark, leaving only a night light on. Try eating dinner by candle light and going outside at night to look at the stars. This will help her feel more comfortable with it being dark but she may still need a nightlight at night. Dust: Show her how to draw pictures in the dust. Explain to her that it wont hurt her. Then, show her how to get rid of the dust.
Q:case in point: we have bought two vacuum cleaners in the last 4 years that have stopped working. i mean, we only vacuum once a week or so, and these were name brand vacuums like hoover and such for around $100 or so. they shouldn't have died so quickly. anyway, i bought an antique vacuum from the 1940s off OKorder and it works like a dream. i imagine if it has lasted 60 years, it will serve me well for many more. i am just sick of cheap products. anyone else buy antiques instead of quot;brand newquot;?
Case in point, I have blown up at least 2 vacuums per year for the eight years I've lived here. I had a Siberian Husky and had to vacuum nearly everyday to keep my house from looking like it snowed in here. I finally got the extended warranty for $19 and they have replaced it for free the last 5 times. Also, do you notice more stores are limiting the return time? Some stores it is 30 days, some 90 and most products don't go bad in that time frame. So, you are stuck with it. I have a Sunbeam toaster from the 1950's that has outlasted the one I got for my wedding that almost burn down my kitchen! It is all of these products coming in from China which are meant to be disposable, but cheap.
Q:I don't know much about vacuum cleaners. My vacuum cleaner isn't working now. I changed the filter, but it does not pick up the stuff on the carpet. I vacuum over it and it doesn't pick it. I don't know what is wrong with it. I think our last vacuum cleaner may have done that and we just got a new one. What is wrong? Is there a vacuum repair person that fixes vacuum cleaners? Where do i go for that sort of thing?
You either have a broken belt or your vacuum is clogged. Turn the vacuum upside down and turn it on and if the brush spins, then your alright, but if it doesn't move, then your belt is broken. Easy to change. Walmart or home depot, etc sells them and with a phillips screwdriver, take off the plastic top of the vacuum and you will see where the belt goes. Now if you brush is spinning, then you have a clog. Check down the hose and see if you can see light. A clog is easy to unclog, a long screwdriver etc.
Q:We have a Dyson that doesn't have a bag but 3 filters and we are starting to get many carpet beetles. We already had catiplillers and silversharks but these carpet beetle larva come in numbers! If I vacuum the rooms will I just be housing these bugs inside the vacuum and spreading them more to the other rooms?
Dyson vacuum cleaners need to be emptied every time you use them to maintain their function performance. Vacuum up and empty in the out side trash straight away. Treat your home with insect deterrent.
Q:I am in desperate need of a new vacuum cleaner - I have just bought a vax after the sales lady recommended but am taking it back due to its poor performance its so noisy my neighbours hear me hoovering at the end of the street ! far too heavy and hardly picks up a thing !! I have had a dyson before which was fab but really cannot stretch to a new one far too pricy - perhaps i am always going to compare performance to this anyone know anything as good but not as expensive all opinions greatly appreciated
get a dyson. they are a step above the rest . try OKorder where they are having a sale on dysons at the moment...
Q:I want to know what do you think about a simplicity 6 series vacuum cleaners IF you own one I would like some feedback are they better then the other vacuums far as sucking power go. Thank you I also did a spell check.
it is a good choice,,everyone has there own choice
Q:What are the best vacuum cleaners on the market today? I've heard good things about the Dyson, how bout you?
I okorder for only 397.99. she swears by it but I still think the Miele is better. From what I hear, the Dyson is the best Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Hands Down but the Miele S5 Series is the Best Vacuum Cleaner Hands Down. I would go with the Miele but if you are not a canister person (I owned an electrolux before my Miele so I have always been) the Dyson is a great vacuum especially the DC 18 because it is 5 pounds lighter than the rest.
