FAQ

Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?

The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.

Which attachments should I look out for?

Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. A hard-floor or parquet brush is useful for wooden or tiled floors. Some cleaners have extendable tubes which are useful for hard to reach areas like cobwebs in the corners of ceilings.

I have a large house? What should I look out for?

Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Also get as long a lead as you can get to cut down on the number of times you have to unplug the lead and plug it in again. You may also want to consider getting a model with a large capacity dust collector or bag so that you don’t have to empty it as frequently. If you have a lot of stairs, you may want to get a cylinder model with a long stretchy stair-cleaning hose.

Q:Does anyone have any experience with Infinity vacuum cleaners?
get the consumers report for the month of October. they have the ratings for vaxs
Q:what products should the USA manufacture that aren't being manufactured at the present time?
For a strong future America I would like to see them working on Magnetic train tracks across the continent.
Q:are Henry Hound vacuum cleaners any good for getting dog hairs out of carpets?
I do not know about the Henry Hound but the DYSON Animal is great. I think it could suck the paint off the wall if I left it there long enough.
Q:Will Vacuum Cleaners go on sale on Black Friday?
Just about everything goes on sale. Dont buy Dyson! I hate mine. I wish I never spent $400 on it! I have a Siberian Husky and it takes me two tries at vacuuming a room just to get everything up. It really is the biggest waste of money I have spent on anything. Ya, they look cool, and have good marketing, but its crap! at least for me it is.
Q:Can you suggest me a good vacuum cleaner without any filters?
With no filters? Older D4, D3 rainbows used water as it's filter medium the problem with water filtration vacuums are they require a lot of up keep with the rainbow you have to fill and empty it each time you use it you cannot store the water bowl on the vacuum when it's wet or you risk rusting the motor the cone that keeps the water out needs to be cleaned. As for what i use, A Kirby G6 incredible agitation and airflow on them but you have to know how to use them right. As for what i think is best, a fan first upright like a Kirby Royal or Sanitaire they have far more airflow than the vast majority of vacuums
Q:When did Amish people stop using elephants as vacuum cleaners?
when they found the Crumb Pet Table Top Vacuum - Black Sheep
Q:Don't dogs make the best vacuum cleaners.?
Yes! Everyday I curse my cat for not eating things I drop!
Q:so i work for kirby vacuum cleaners as a dealer?
I Worked for an office and did great. We never forced anything on anyone and the owner was very proffesional. Sounds like you have a bad manager. I would quit and report him to kirby. Contact number is on the kirby website, just under customer service. If you find a good office it can be great fun and awsome, I loved it and would do it again if I had the chance.
Q:Why did God make men with British and Australian accents so good at selling vacuum cleaners on American TV?
All related to culture and area... many different languages sound cool or sexy to others of a different language. That is why they use them in commercials, it gets some peoples attention.
Q:Is your dog afraid of vacuum cleaners?
Yes, they run away and hide when I get it out. Kenai isn't really afraid he stays out but the other two scoot. I still make them let me vaccuum them somtimes, they like the feel of it but hate the sound of the vaccuum.. My dog Jasper is also afraid of thunder, fireworks, those blow up christmas things too lol, they also don't like cardboard tubes either.. I blow through them and my dog Kenai barks at me.. ha ha. Jasper was afraid of cords and he still is but he has gotten alot better, he will actually walk over them now. His fear of chairs has also diminished considerably..lol He's such a puss..
