Q:this one is 3'9 x 5'6 for $49.50 and this one is 3'10 x 5'7 for $46.49which one would you buy? which seems will look better and have better quality?which looks like an overall better deal?thank you
If you have a lot of beige/brown in your room, go to the first one. If you have no beige/brown at all, your best bet is to go with the second one. Honestly, they're pretty much the same except for the price, color, and seller.
Q:My friend is named Bryce and he likes rice. He thinks it is absolutely impossible to grow rice in their garden. So is it possible? P.S. He thinks he's wild like wild rice, but I think he resembles calm rice more. Just saying.
Not impossible but very difficult. Rice needs a lot of space and a consistent level of water. You can not depend on rain water for this.
Q:Hi,I saw a tv show that had a segment featuring a website that allows allows trades people to bid on jobs that needs to be done around the house through an auction. eg gardening, building a fence etc. Does anyone know what this website is? This is a question of the Australia based community.THANKS!!!!
Look for what are called CO-Ops....
Q:My parents talked to this guy from Express Home Solutions that's based in Garden City, NY about help with modifying their home loan and such. They wanted me to research the company to make sure it wasn't any kind of scam set up before they did anything with them, but I can't find much. There seems to be another company with the same name out of Texas, but I don't know if they're the same people. Has anyone dealt with this company or heard anything about them? Any help would be great! Thanks.
I don't know anything about this company but when I Googled the name, the first site that comes up is Rip off report so I'd be leary. There are many scam companies out there right now who will take the money up front not do much for it. Your parents don't need to hire anyone to help modify their mortgage. It can be time-consuming because so many people are looking for modifications that the lenders are overwhelmed. Have your parents start here: makinghomeaffordable / You will see the warning right on the front page about these types of companies. Good luck to your folks.
Q:I need a recipe from page 11 of that cook book, and don't want to go and buy the whole thing. If someone has that book could you please tell me the information from that particular page. If so I would greatly appreciate it. You could scan it, type it, it doesn't matter. I just really want that recipe.
I have a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook dated 1946. It does not say it is the deluxe edition however. My cookbook has chapters and each of those chapters has the pages numbered starting with 1. The chapters are letters of the alphabet. I need a chapter letter plus page number. If you could tell me what the recipe is for which you are looking for, I am quite sure my cook book will have it.
Q:How do you design the terrace garden decorations?
Terrace garden flower choice is not many, but in the United States
Q:I want to build a botanical garden in the town I live in, it will be a private land that is not for profit company and open to public for a few dollars. What are resources I can use to get me started on the research for this project, remember its large scale so small garden info isn't that useful.I have found lots of gardening design/plant/etc info but its all for small scale, I am going to be building a several acre garden. What considerations should I think about? How much space? What plants?Legal issues? What about designs, information on design of large scale parks?
That's okorder . Though the site can't replicate the feeling and smells of visiting a garden in person, it aims to be great venue for sharing inspiration and specific designs. The site features web-based home and landscape design software. The goal of the site is to eventually put together thousands of quality garden designs and provide the tools for people to design their own homes and gardens.
Q:i have a new house and a builders yard as a garden. they have put topsoil on the rubbish (probably) the base is sandstone 500mm below. i wish to create a good green lawn / flower beds (shrubs, honeysuckle, jasmine, summer bed flowers)What can i do / add to the prepare the soil over the winter ready for grass seed / planting in spring?
Depending on where you live would have a lot to do with the grass. Right now, you can use lots and lots of mums, get some perennials like a butterfly plant, rhododendrums. Everyone I know likes to plant petunias for summer. I like moss rose, jacob's coat, mexican heather, elephant ears. I know that logging on to Home and Garden would help you about the mulch. Everyone has different opinions about the best type. Check out a local Home Depot or nursery for help with your soil preparation unless you get a good response from someone else. Good luck and happy planting.
Q:I would like to plant some clover in my flower garden because I want to plant a vegetable garden next year, but I have some questions about it. 1.) When can I plant the clover? I'd like to till the soil and then plant the clover before winter starts.2.) What kind of clover should I plant?3.) And any other advice you could give me would be great :) This is my first vegetable garden all on my own. Thanks!
Clover are often used as cover crops between annual vegetable harvests or on the floor of orchards to help fix nitrogen and enrich the soil. In garden beds, till red clover under or add it to the compost pile before you plant annual vegetables or flowers. Use white clover in orchards, especially if you have low-grazing animals to fertilize the orchard, such as ducks, chickens, geese, rabbits or goats. Plant clover in the spring or early summer, when the ground has become soft and moist from the spring rains. You may also plant in September or early October in most locations. Clover seed is very small, so you may want to mix it with lime or fertilizer to give you more substance to work with. Do not use a strong fertilizer on clover, as it can burn the plant's thin roots.
Q:What can I use to control ants in my garden that will not hurt the harvest, plants, or family to eat? I know there is some that can cause problems later. Serious answers only!
You want to control ants in your home and gardens next to your home but if it is away from your home they are doing you more good than harm. Ant's seem to dislike spearmint, tansy, and pennyroyal, and cinnamon. Grow fresh or sprinkle dry around the areas in your garden that you don't want a large infestation of ants.
