- Q:i have a 2005 malibu classic.when put in gear the doors lock automatic, but they dint.same as when cut off?
- Do not fully understand your question, so I am guessing here. Automatic door locks - doors lock when you put it into gear. However they do not unlock when you stop, put in park, or shut ignition off. You must manually unlock them yourself by either the electric door lock/unlock button , or th emanual mechanisim on ht edoor.
- Q:My wife did this once with the car running and I didn't have a spare key. It was kinda funny.
- I didnt actually lock my self out of the car.I left the car running to run in the store and left my dog inside it with the air running. She jumped on the window to bark at someone and she locked the doors.Needless to say she could not unlock the doors.I dont have onstar either.
- Q:Automatic door and access control system plus remote control plus sensor can you
- This is possible, as long as you add the controller and the sensor inside the module can be a module, but the module will own to buy,
- Q:Automatic door accessories how to sell
- Which part of the accessories do you want? Some accessories are sold as a whole
- Q:Glass automatic door failure, can not be used normally, after the power can be opened and closed, power off after the switch can no longer open. Help think about ways, how can the lock during the lock up? In the electricity above do not have to use their brains, and no good way
- Place two wooden sides in the room, one end at the bottom of the closed glass door, one end on the column or wall. So that the door can not move on it, do not forget to both sides to withstand ah.
- Q:My '05 Mustang is cycling the automatic door locks while I'm driving!!? This just started and it seems like it
- You might have a loose ground or connection somewhere. Do you have an aftermarket alarm installed? They cause those sorts of problems some times.
- Q:I have an "Over Head Legacy Garage door opener. It sometimes opens on its own. I had an electrician come out and look at it. He took took it apart and cleaned it and put the antenna on the inside but it still does it. Granted it doesn't happen every day but once is too many times, I don't know how old the unit is since it came with the house. My home was built in '97 I moved into it in Oct. of '09. Could it be time to buy a new one? (experts only please)
- It's possible that someone else in your neighborhood has a garage door with the same or similar wireless code. See if your model allows for the remote and receiver to be re-coded. To check if this is correct, drive or walk the block and try your remote in front of other homes. If it works, you may want to warn that person and see if he or she can change their remote code if yours can't. They may be wondering why their garage opens now and again as well! It's also possible that the switch on your wall is sticking intermittently and therefor is not releasing completely after it is depressed (and I don't mean sad). Try pressing it repeatedly to determine if it feels like it is returning smoothly. If it feels sticky at all make sure there are no obstructions around the edge of the button (dirt and grease buildup). If it looks clean, but still feels like it sticks a bit, try a little silicone spray (NOT oil or WD40 etc.) around the edge of the button to get it to move freely. Also, follow the wire from your wall mounted switch or any other switch that is attached to the opener. If you observe any breaks or kinks in those thin wires, you may find your intermittent problem there. If the switches are normally closed and the circuit is interrupted, it thinks the button is being pushed. If there is enough slack in the wire, simply cut and splice the wire and re-insulate it to re-establish the connection. Be sure to match the polarity which should be marked with a color or stripe on the insulation or possibly one silver and one gold tone wire inside the insulation. Hope this helps.
- Q:I got the automatic garage door opener replaced a month ago. About a week ago the spring broke. I ended up removing the broken spring. At this point I have one spring working. The garage door still opens and closes automatically for me. What is the purpose of these springs and will the garage continue to open automatically if I don't fix the one spring?
- Yeah it will work with one spring, but your system will become unbalanced and that spring will surely go out sooner than if you had two. I would get both replaced as soon as possible to avoid greater problems that will cost much more money to fix your door. Garage Door Tucson AZ - Garage Door Repair 1620 N. - Q:The little wire that sticks out to receive the signal from the remote...can I make it longer by splicing it with something? Mine is acting up. I have it pointing outside but it seems to work only sometimes. I hear cold weather affects it as well.
- Lengthening the wire won't extend the range at all & sometimes will decrease the range. The receiver is tuned to the length of the wire that it came with from the factory. The antenna wire should be facing straight down toward the floor & not pointing outside. The normal range is 50 to 75' but can be shorter if there is a lot of outside interference. Make sure to have the battery in the remote checked also.
- Q:I have power, it worked once this morning and I do hear a humming noise, but, the MOTOR sounds like it's not activating itself, again, there is a humming noise, hence, the circuit board appears to be getting the message to close door, however,it's not.Could it be a burnt motor or circuit board issue?.Thank you folks...
- The one answer of unhooking your trolley to see if it closes is a bad idea! If the spring is broke the door will slam down very hard. This could damage the door and kill anything it comes down on. If you do this only do so after making sure your springs are not broken. Even one broken spring will cause the symptoms you describe. Always replace both spring when you replace them.
