Q:Help replacing water pump?
You can loosen alternator, or power steering pump, or jump belt off of idler pulley if it has one. But I doubt that it is a serpentine belt, just a v-belt.

water pump is timing belt driven, so you have to pull all of the belts off, the timing belt cover and that belt also. if that belt has not been replaced in 80,000 miles. you want to do that. i had a 93 civic and a 90 civic that i did the belt and pump in at 230,000 miles. it takes a little time but it is not that bad. the harmonic balancer has to come off for the timing belt also.
Q:radiator problems.....or a broken water pump?
Did you use a radiator stop leak to repair the leak. If you did the radiator could be stopped up. The water pump only pumps coolant through the cooling system. If it has no leaks or the shaft bearing is OK, the pump is OK. Also since the car was getting hot, it may have effected the thermostat. And the head gasket will cause overheating if it's leaking. To check this, remove the radiator cap (while the engine is cold, to prevent being burned) run the engine and look for bubbles in the radiator. The radiator is probably the culprit. Hope this helps. Q:What's wrong with the motor for my water pump?
You have an air volume problem and the tank is water logged. When this happens the pump motor short cycles and creates more heat than it can dissipate. A device inside the motor windings cuts the power until it cools again. You can cut the power off,drain the tank, then start all over, it will give you1/3 air pressure volume over 2/3 water. They have an air volume control that may not be operating properly. I use an air compressor on my pump and pump air into the tank about once every two months. It all depends on how much the pump runs.

ok cordi is dumb they aquarium pumps are not lubricated because if they were it would contaminate the water in the aquarium corals can get stressed out about any little thing if they were lubed up then it would kill fish and stuff so it would not alter the taste at all. cool idea
Q:i have a 2000 vw bug and i need help in changing the thermostat or the water pump?
The water pump is timing belt driven and is under the plastic timing cover on passenger side. These water pumps have a history of breaking, due to the fact they have a plastic impeller and it shears off the shaft, which causes the engine to overheat. First you want to remove the thermostat and then check the water pump. Follow the lower radiator hose to where it connects to the engine. That flange is where the thermostat is at. After you remove the thermostat you can shine a light in the hole and put your finger in there, if the impellar of the water pump moves, it needs to be replaced. If it does, then you might as well replace the timing belt and tensioner, seeing how you have to remove it to get the water pump off.

remove the fan shroud , then the then belt, then the fan. drain coolant then remove hoses from pump. then the water pump .. it is a 2 hour job at most . can be done as little as a hour if you have the right tools and understand the job. you will need special too to remove fan. rest is 10mm 13mm , 14mm or 15 mm bolts .. press clamps need pliers or flat screw driver to remove clamps .

Sounds like you have air in your engine cooling system. Newer cars are notorious for trapping air pockets in the engine when the coolant is changed. Take the car to an auto repair shop and have them bleed the air out of the system.
