The okorder /... I believe that Hoover originated the lift off design a few years ago. I've not used this one, but I have seen it kicking around warehouse retailers when was first released. To be honest, I think that the lift off canister design is far more hype than actually useful - regardless of the brand name. The theory of a smaller, portable vacuum is good, no doubt, but having to carry/hold the vacuum in one hand while you operate it with the other kind of defeats the purpose.

Q:My wife and I are looking into getting a new vacuum cleaner. My sister has a Dyson, and she is just in love with it. We know that there is a Dyson out there specifically made for pets (we have a black lab), which is what we are leaning towards. However, we have also heard that there have been a number of Dysons that have been returned due to problems with them. We've also heard that there is a brand of vacuum out there that is supposed to be almost exactly like the Dyson but with limited issues.Does anyone out thereknow of what this other brand is, and what are your experiences with either (Dyson or this other brand)? Good/bad?

Q:My vacuum cleaner has recently lost all suction. I've cleaned out the filters, and made sure the tubes aren't clogged with gunk, and everything is pretty clear. Any other suggestions? I'd rather try to fix it then buy yet another new vacuum.

Bin it! Its easier to buy a new one than mess around with your old one! U can get a new one cheap nowadays!

Nothing annoys my Tibetan Mastiff mix. Like Greek said, my dog also has a sound-nerved temperament. My rescue APBT mix doesn't have as sound of a temperament. Although she has a better temperament than many of the purebreds I know, she is still afraid of the vacuum and she shuts down if you raise your voice at her, but only in the house. Outside, she doesn't give a rats *** if you yell.

Well those who consider it to be the ultimate way to clean all the mess around the house then i believe they are looking in wrong direction, but on the other hand if you are looking for basic cleaning purposes, then yes i suggest you have one, plus it will help you a lot maintain and keeping room clean. One more thing, with advancement in technologies they are much more power management efficient. So yes , yes , yes you should have one
