Q:I have a recurring issue with the service airbag warning light on my 2006 GMC Denali. The dealer has serviced it twice and both times simply cleaned the contacts and reset the warning light. Q:I have a 200 BMW 323Ci (coupe). The brake sensor light indicator came on which means I need new pads at least.BMW dealership always replaces pads AND rotors and quoted $1045(+tax) for my car. I‘m wondering if there is an auto repair shop (i.e. a national chain) that will do brakes on BMWs and doesn‘t charge such an outrageous amount? I don‘t have the tools to do it myself.Places like Meineke, Goodyear Monro say they‘ll do the work but I have to bring it in and have them look at it in person before they‘ll give me even a ballpark price.One local business quoted $800.is that reasonable?Thanks!

no matter were you take it the car will have to be inspected the light is on cuzz the pads wore down to the sensors most likley find a shop that you can trust is the main thing best way is ask friends and family were they take their cars bmw brakes are not cheap

Q:Is there any way to disable the xbox 360 auto-shutoff function after an overheat. For some reason my xbox will overheat after five minutes of being turned on room tempature. I have throughly investigated this and have came to conclude that their is something wrong with the xbox‘x abillities to read internal tempature because it overheats with for no reason. I cant afford to pay 100 dollars to have it fixed so I was wondering if I could somehow make it so this auto-shutoff display 2 flashing lights function to stop and have the xbox continue to play.

It shuts off when it gets to hot, so that the internal hardware does melt. Take it of(u cant) and the xbox inside components would melt and ur xbox would be screwed. Microsoft just extended it warranty for the red ring of death 4 three years. I suggest u check to see if it is still under warranty.

Q:In my opinion DRL (daytime running lights) are pointless on a white car... if you can't see my car in the day light you're blind and shouldn't be driving to begin with. how do you disable them and the system that turns headlights on automatically when its dark? i don't like the auto turn on becuase its overly sensitive and will turn on the head lights in the shade on a sunny day which kills my bulb life.

The daytime running light relay is located somewhere behind the glove box (my illustration isn't great). The name of it should be formed in the plastic. Find the red wire with a light blue tracer...it should be the only one that color combo. Cut and tape it back. Leave a good inch or so of wire at the relay in case you ever want to reconnect it. That should disable the DRLs. Hope this helps. God Bless!

Q:I was driving to work this morning, and my engine light came on. I have a 2001 Cavalier 2.2L 4 Speed Automatic with a little over 80,000 miles on it. The car was running fine, but then the light came on, and I freaked. I opened my manual, which said one of the problems could be due to my fuel cap not placed on properly. When I got back home, I checked, and sure enough, it was loose. However, when I went out later on, the light was still on and has not gone away. How long will it stay on? Should I go to the mechanic just to be safe even though my car is running fine?

Q:I have a 2001 volvo s60 (I love it so much!!!) any way the check engine light came on this morning, it drives the same nothing seems different, i took it to advanced auto to run a diagnostics and it came out no codes but the light is still on, i know nothing about a volvo‘s engine (horrible i know) so i really have no idea what is triggering my engine light, oh the service light comes on every time i start the car but goes off like 30 seconds later and its done that since i bought the car last week. any help would be wonderful!! thank you!!

That's normal as long as the light does not stay on or continuously flash you are okay. The lights come on and then go off as a check of the system. Check engine light has to do with emissions so not to worry if it comes and stays on just make sure the gas cap is put on properly after you put gas in it that usually triggers it to stay on most of the time.

Q:I have a 2001 Kia Spectre and the ignition switch is going bad and when it does start up, the check engine light comes on.

Take it to a auto parts store. Most have a computer that they can hook up to your vehicle and get the code to determine what the problem may be. It's usually a free service. I know that Autozone does it for sure. But there is usually water in the gas line anyway. That's why people put gas line antifreeze products in there car when in colder climates.

Q:The engen light came on in the car after I power washed it I took it to the local advanced auto and they hooked it up It said o2 sencer and cam position sencer. so I changed the o2 first its cheeper well come to find out there was two of them and i some how unpluged #bank 2 so i hook it up and take the negitive off the battery for an hour or so . start it up sure the light stays off till the second time I start it .about 5 min after start it comes back on.I take it back and it says the same thing. DO I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THEM RESET IT????????
