If you have a t-mobile account currently you can upgrade for a discounted price on any phone you want, but it WILL extend your contract for 2 years. The only way to avoid the contact extension is to buy the phone at the invoice price. You can go to any t-mobile store and they would be more than happy to help you.

I have T-mobile. The phone I have is the HTC G1. It is a great phone for taking pictures and messaging people on. It has lots of other cool features on it. 3G is available on it which makes the internet really fast. 3G is not available in all areas though.Even using Edge network internet still is fast compared to another basic phone. The overall performance I say is A+.

Reasons for them not to have one is that sometimes they use them to cheat in school. They call boys at 200 am when their parents think they are sleeping and the boys are wayyyyyyy to old for them. Some people are addicted to their phone and they don't learn to have interpersonal relationships. Some people are addicted to their phone and they loose their job because they can't put the phone away at work.

You can't do any of that stuff. Phones aren't like PCs where anyone who's reasonably tech savvy can install a different operating system; it takes a team of programmers months to put a different operating system onto a new phone. Also, phones have different hardware than PCs, so even if you *could* just install a different operating system onto a phone, an operating system made for a PC (like Windows 7) wouldn't work on a phone (and vice-versa).
