FeatureMachinability: In the harder T 4 and T6 tempers it is good. It is notably less easy to machine in the annealed temper.
Forming: Easily cold worked and formed in the annealed condition. Stamping, bending, spinning, deep drawing are all readily accomplished using standard methods.
Welding: It has very good welding characteristics and may be welded by all of the common welding techniques.
Heat Treatment: Solution heat treat at 990 F for adequate time to allow for thorough heating and then water quench. Precipitation hardening is done at 320 F for 18 hours and air cool, followed by 350 F for 8 hours and air cooling.
Forging: It is capable of being hot forged at temperatures in the range of 900 F to 750 F.
Hot Working: Hot working may be done in the temperature range of 700 F to 500 F.
Cold Working: Cold working in the O temper condition is readily performed. The alloy is notably less easy to cold form in the T 4 and T 6 tempers.
Annealing: Annealing should be done at 775 F for 2 to 3 hours followed by controlled cooling at 50 f per hour down to 500 F, then air cool.
Aging: The aging precipitation heat treatment is done at 350 F for 8 hours followed by air cooling. This produces the T6 temper.

resistance welding is a welding method that pressing the materials to be welded in an area between two poles and switching on current. the current will go through the contact surface and agjacent area, producing resistance heat effect which will heatthe materials into melting or plastic state and make the materials be welded together.
Q:why can't aluminum sheet burn after polishing?
because aluminum will rapidly formulate dense oxide film once being exposed in air, oxide film will generate after polishing, it can't burn.
Q:how to connect copper pipe and aluminum sheet?
it depends on the size and requirement, we can use ultrasonic wave rolling welding to connect copper pipe and aluminum sheet.for example, solar energy radiator-fan contains connection of copper pipe and copper sheet, ultrasonic wave rolling welding equipment is used here.ultrasonic wave welding of metals is suitable for the welding of copper to copper, copper to aluminum and aluminum to aluminum.
Q:what's the size of gap while pressing 6mm aluminum sheet?
choose the 8-10% of the thickness for two-sided gaps.
Q:How to clean the aluminium oxide on the surface of aluminum? What kind of materials should we use to clean the thin aluminum sheet, and what's the concentration?
you can answer sodium hydroxide solution, dilute acid is useless, aluminum's oxide film is very thick,as for concentration, aluminum will be passivating in concentrated sulfuric acid. if you are high school student,higher concentration is better, you can complete deoxidation by abrasive paper.
Q:will it influence powder injection effect after wiping the oil contamination on the surface of aluminum sheet?
no, but I'm not certain.
Q:why intact aluminum sheet stop quicker than pectinate one in the magnetic field?
while swinging in the magnetic field, intact aluminum sheets will formulate inner eddy current,that is the annular induced current.eddy current will transform the mechanical energy into heat energy, which makes the aluminum sheet stop quickly.but pectinate aluminum sheet can't formulate intact eddy current, so intact aluminum sheet stop quicker than pectinate one.
Q:why could aluminum pot be repaired by knocking the aluminum sheet into the pot but not being bonded by glue?
the oxidation rate of aluminum's surface is very quick, so we cann't use the method of tin welding, and the cost of argon arc welding is very high,so aluminum pot's repair usually uses riveting. aluminum has low hardness and good ductility, so it can be repaired by tightly knocking, without the bonding of glue. general glue will decomposed in open fire, if we bond pot by glue, the pot after repair won't be able to endure high temperature.
Q:which kind of material won't influence magnet attracting iron nail? Does copper sheet or aluminum sheet influence it?
Copper coil will impede magnetic penetration. People separate the magnet from the workpiece of machine tool to avoid magnetic short circuit and attraction loss, making magnetic line of force go through the workpiece. An opening copper bush is added into the iron core of magnetic closing coil or opening solenoid to avoid the iron core being attracted on the external iron piece and stop operation. The opening is for avoiding eddy formulation and short circuit, iron core in copper bush is the ruled magnetic circuit.
