Brief Introduction for Cold Rolled Steel Coil

Cold Rolled Steel Coil is steel that has been worked below its recrystallization temperature by passing it between a pair of rollers. Recrystallization temperature is the temperature at which grains in the lattice structure of the metal have been rearranged, leaving it free of strain and deformations. Cold Rolled Steel Coil is pre-treated before being cold rolled with a process known as pickling, which uses strong acids to remove scale and other impurities. The Cold Rolled Steel Coil is then passed through rollers to reduce its thickness. Most cold rolling takes place in multiple passes and as the size of the Cold Rolled Steel Coil is further reduced, its strength and hardness both increase, but its ductility decreases. After cold rolling, heating the metal up in a process known as annealing can restore some of its ductility. The final Cold Rolled Steel Coil may be manufactured in the form of sheets, strips, bars, or other forms.

Q:When you mix sodium hydroxide with water then add aluminum hydrogen gas is given off, is this from the water?
Aluminium does not normally react with water because of a surface coating of the highly unreactive Al2O3 that forms on exposure to atmospheric oxygen. In the presence of strong base, however, this compound dissolves due to complexation by hydroxide, similarly to how silver chloride dissolves in ammonia. Al2O3(s) + 2OH-(aq) + 3H2O(l) ----- 2[Al(OH)4]-(aq) Once this has occured, aluminium metal, a very strong reducing agent, is exposed to water. 2Al(s) + 6H+(aq) ----- 2Al3+(aq) + 3H2(g) Even though the solution is alkaline, there is still a low concentration of H+ formed by the autoprotolytic dissociation of water. The Al3+ formed then reacts with hydroxide to produce more [Al(OH)4]-. Yes, the hydrogen gas is from the water.
Q:welding aluminum without gas.?
welding reaches high enough heats that the oxygen and hydrogen, and nitrogen that naturally occure in our atmosphere will combine and or otherwise interfere with the re-solidification of the molten metal. This will completely destroy the new molecular structure and there will be no strength in the new metal. All welding uses some form of preventing the atmospheres oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen from effecting the alloy structure. Other elements can also be combined in the chemical reaction if your environment or your project are not clean. All metals oxidize on their surface. That means combine with oxygen. It is the process we call rust when refering to iron which in the case of iron never stops rusting until it rusts away. for the most part all other metals oxidize on their surface and stop. this is what gives their great protection and helps in deciding their use,as with aluminum. You can create environments that will cause thsese other metals to continue to oxidize as with electrolosis, but that is getting more complex. SOO with aluminum it is a good idea to brush the oxidation layer off the surfaces to be welded so this oxidised aluminun does not become a source of contamination in the new weld metal. It is recomended to use a clean stainless steel bristle brush as an iron brush can contaminate. Brushing can generally last for many hours even days but you can see the dull color re appear as it oxidizes over time. Another comon source of oxygen and hydrogen is water. That is what the purpose of low hydrogen electrodes is, though these are not used in aluminum. The military builds the aluminum hulls for the bradley and other vehicles in San Jose partly because the relative humidity is best for mig welding aluminum there. so you can see the concepts can become conflicting. Always use argon with aluminum. Argon can be mixed with small percentages of helium too.
Q:which is the best bonding method for aluminum sheet and plastic?
smear glue, there is a glue special for the bonding of plastic and steel materials.
Q:what's the temperature tolerance of aluminum sheets?
aluminum is a kind of silver white metal, melting point:660.4℃, boiling point: 2467℃,density: 2.70 g/cm³,very light, about 1/4 of iron's density.it has low hardness and good ductility, which makes it suitable for being pulled into threadlets or pressed into aluminum foils, and the later is usually used for packaging candy and cigarette. it has good electrical and temperature conductivity. it's used for the manufacture of electric wire and cable in electric power industry, and for the manufacture of cooker in daily life.combined with the magnesium , copper, zinc, tin, manganese, chromium, zirconium, silicon and other elments,it can formulate various alloys that is broadly used for the manufacture of airplane, car, ship, materials of daily living equipment and the doors and windows of construction industry.aluminum is one of the best reflectors of heat and light, so it is used as thermal insulation material and the manufacture of reflecting mirror in the reflecting telescope.
Q:Aluminum Mig Welding?
You MUST use 100% Ar for MIG welding aluminum. Molten Al is highly reactive. Al powder is the active ingredient in thermite, for example. It will react with CO2, stripping away the oxygen and creating a nasty mess. Also, you really need a MIG welder with twice as much current output. along the lines of 200-300 amps. 130 amps will not perform well even with a spool gun, and running the weak, prone-to-jamming .030 Al wire. You could try to do it that way, but I would not advise. (There is no way in hell you'd be able to cram wimpy .030 Al wire through a 6 foot traditional welding lead. It'll kink and jam after 5 seconds.) MIG welding aluminum REQUIRES using the high-current, high feed speed, spray transfer mode. Here are some typical parameters: 030 wire, 500 IPM, 22 volts. 120-130 amps. 035 wire, 500 IPM, 23 volts, 150 amps. 045 wire, 400 IPM, 24 volts, 200 amps. EDIT, the guy above me has the right idea. They use electricity to force the reaction between aluminum oxide (dissolved in cryolite) and carbon, producing molten Al and CO2 gas. Normally the reaction would tend to go the other way. Aluminum has a higher affinity for oxygen.
Q:1984 Cadillac Eldorado. How bad are the aluminum block engines?
aluminum engines are used to save weight and help increase horsepower, I don't think that making an engine from aluminum is a bad thing, the biggest problem is making sure you NEVER EVER OVERHEAT IT. They use steel sleeves in the piston bores and other critical high stress areas, but the biggest problem is once overheated its done, vaporized aluminum is actually very explosive too, Any Eldorado's still around from 84 now, I think has a good engine in it. another potential problem is spark plug removal and installation, using an anti seize is recommended. If you do find an Eldorado's now, someone may have installed a iron block in it anyway, because one thing aluminum motors are known for, is being very expensive.
Q:Which kind of glue can bond hard shell plastic and iron sheet or aluminum sheet?
you can use 520 or AB glue, and I think 520 is better.
Q:How do aluminum plates open holes?
The opening of the aluminum plate is a relatively simple process,You can do that with a micro electric device like an electric drill or a grooving machine
Q:How to Machine High Purity Aluminum machinery?
Aluminum okorder.com is a soft, silvery-white metal. In high-purity aluminum nearly all impurities have been removed. It is 99.99 percent pure and is machined like other grades of aluminum. To process aluminum for various applications, the manufacturer heats the aluminum in a smelter and then forms it into ingots (large blocks) or billets (log-shaped rods). Using rolling mills, workers machine ingots into aluminum plates, sheets or foils. Dies machine ingots or billets into extrusions or forgings.
Q:Can An Aluminum Water Bottle Go In The Fridge?
Carefull with using Aluminum to store water you are going to drink. I would use a ceramic or glass container instead. Aluminum is recognized as a NEUROTOXIN. It has no biological function in the metabolisms of human beings. It can bio accumulate in the body and competes with calcium for absorption in the body. There is growing scientific evidence that links increase intakes of aluminum with Alzheimer disease and other brain degenerative disorders. (High levels of Aluminum have been found in the brains of deceased Alzheimers patients, and Aluminum can pass the blood brain barrier) In my sources I have some links to scholarly articles on this matter and the Wikipedia article on Aluminum Please do more research into this matter you will uncover more Good Luck
