1.  Aluminum Foil Facing Description

The production technologies and products performance of aluminum foil facing have been up to international advanced level. The aluminum foil facing products are mainly used for HVAC system, refrigerators, building thermal aluminum foil facing insulation and laminated with glass wool and rock wool to increase the insulation function.

• FSK aluminum foil facing is mainly used for duct wrap in HVAC system and other fields, such as vapor barrier etc., and suitable for off-line lamination of glass wool or rock wool. By special processing, the facing will have excellent flame retardant property.

• Heat-sealing aluminum foil facing is used for duct wrap without applying extra adhesive and suitable for online lamination of glass wool and rock wool.

• The WPSK aluminum foil facing, whose structure is white polypropylene/ fiberglass scrim/ kraft is mainly used for metal building insulation and suitable for the insulation of ware-house, factory, supermarket, office and so on.

• Double sided aluminum foil facing vapor barrier, whose structure is aluminum foil/ high strength kraft /fiberglass scrim /aluminum foil and laminated together by special flame retardant adhesive, can be used for roofing, wall insulation of house, warehouse, cold storages, factory and others.

2.Main Features of the Aluminum foil facing

1) High tensile strength aluminum foil made from special aluminum
alloy, coated with aggressive solvent-based acrylic adhesive,
which provides high peel adhesion and quick sticking
2) Designed for sealing joints and seams of foil jacketing in
air-conditioning duct work

3)Excellent Peel Adhesion

4)Good Initial Tack & Permanent Bonding

5)Good Water & Fire Resistance

6)Outstanding Temperature & Aging Resistance

2.  Tolerance: Weight and Thickness: ±10%; Width: ±3mm; Length: Cut Roll: ±0.3m, Jumbo Roll ±0.5%.

3.  The product should be stored at room temperature and kept from wet and heat source.Shelf life: One year from shipment date when stored at 21°C (70°F) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.

4.  It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied must be clean, dry, and free of grease and oil.

5.  The user should take test and do trial-application on the above products before coming into application so as to witness and ensure suitability for user’s special purpose and technique.

Q:This question is asked in the context of galvanic corrosion. Recently i cam across an article which says cad plated fasteners should not be used for fastening titanium. Kindly let me know if fasteners with Aluminium deposited using IVD method can be used as a replacement. Expecting your guidance.Thaks.Ranjith
I would say it depends. The article you mention may have been recommending that Cd coated fasteners not be used due to the toxicity of Cd and it may have nothing to do with galvanic corrosion with Ti. Any time you have two different materials, you have an opportunity for accelerated corrosion but it depends on the environment and you can have corrosion problems without galvanic corrosion if the joint design and the environment create bad conditions. I am certainly not an expert in fasteners for Ti but there are other aspects of the design that may be much more critical than what the coating is. It also depends on the details of your application. How much stress is on the fasteners? Will they be inspected regularly? What are the consequences of failure? Will they be subject to fatigue? What Ti alloy are you fastening? How will the holes be drilled? What is the operating temperature? Will the entire structure be painted or otherwise protected from corrosion? Will there be Cl or other aggressive contaminants in the environment? Good luck
Q:I have never made one before and I am attempting to make a chocolate souffleBut I don't have a souffle pan or custard cupsIs there anything else I can use or do I have to buy one? Thanks.
Why don't you file a complaint against the company(s) that said you sent a womanWe can do anything a man can but betterWith the exception of being able to write our name in the snow and peeing like they do.

Q:When cooking with aluminum foil is it shiny side up ?
It makes absolutely no difference which side you useThe shiny side comes from the production processFrom Reynolds FAQ: Which side of Reynolds Wrap? Aluminum Foil should I use, the shiny or the dull side? Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use both sides do the same fine job of cooking, freezing and storing foodThe difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil manufacturing processIn the final rolling step, two layers of foil are passed through the rolling mill at the same timeThe side coming in contact with the mill's highly polished steel rollers becomes shinyThe other side, not coming in contact with the heavy rollers, comes out with a dull or matte finishThe exception is when using Reynolds Wrap? Non-Stick Aluminum FoilThe non-stick coating is applied during manufacturing to the dull side of the foilAlways place the non-stick (dull) side toward the food.
