Q:How much does a real estate earn?
As with any sales job, how much you earn depends on how dedicated you are, how aggressive, and whether you have a knack for selling. You can decide to be a buyers agent primarily, a listing agent primarily, or both. Or, you might decide to do appraisals - which are hot in this foreclosure market. You can make 40 bucks a pop - just taking pictures and filling out forms. A commission on a house might be a few percent, which you'll split with the selling or buying agent. If you sell a couple of $100K houses a month - maybe do some property management, put a couple of buyers in a house, maybe do some foreclosure work - you can make a decent living. Doing real estate full-time is a good gig. The realtors that I've been able to observe work really hard. The ones I know like to pretend that they aren't working all that hard - that they are sleeping in, driving fancy cars, are effortlessly successful, etc. But in reality, they are fielding early morning calls, late night calls, working on weekends and holidays, and always chasing the sale. They really have to hustle to make money and are on call 24 hours a day. Personally, I don't think it is a great idea to do a job only for the money. You should like real estate - like houses - like putting people into them. If you don't, then maybe you can find something else that you like, then figure out how to make money doing that. There are a million ways to make money - but when you go to a job that you hate - you'll feel like you've aged a million years. Find something that you like and then make money doing that. Good luck!
Q:I am looking @ getting me real estate license in CT?
Can't help you with schools on the east coast but can give you a bit of advice. Getting licensed is only your beginning. Be sure to go to work for a big company like Coldwell-Banker. Their hands on training is priceless. Get into a company that has a lot of agents who tour each week by bus. You learn more from the other agents, hearing them talk real estate than you will in your licensing course. Be sure you have a way to support yourself for a couple of years while you build your business. I'm retired now but loved helping people find their dream home and every home, no matter how modest, is someone's dream home. It might not be your idea of a dream but it is a step up for someone. From what I'm hearing this is not a great time to be in real estate so you might want to wait unless you are independently wealthy. I just heard that 90% of new listings in the NE are people selling because they are in default on their loans and that there is no money for financing so very hard to get a loan unless the buyer has the very highest credit rating and collateral. Tough times ahead for the industry like we had in the 80's with 18% interest on mortgage loans but we lived through it. Ate a lot of hamburger but made it intact. Good Luck and God Bless
Q:Best SAN ANTONIO Residental Real Estate Company to start as First time Realtor?
Most of your large real estate companies would have training classes available for your use. In some cases this training would be sufficient enough for your continued education classes required by your state to maintain your license. Larger and national real estate companies don't always mean better. There are many local companies that exceed your national real estate companies by a long shot. Some of these companies specialize in high end real estate. Each real estate agent would make a decision as to the type real estate you would want to sell.In some instances you might be assigned a specific area to work called a farm. The real estate company you would work for would not guarantee you success. Being successful in the real estate business is extremely hard and difficult work. Your ability to market yourself and establish a business plan that would assist you in, attaining and keeping clients would be a plus for you. You would also need to form a professional team to assist you in your success. You would need a plan that would place you in a position of getting referrals from former clients and those on your professional team. In establishing yourself from a rookie to someone that your broker and clients would trust in the sale or listing of a property is approximately 180 days to 365 days. This is an extremely slow process. Fees vary from city to city or region to region, therefore the cost of the fees you mention might not come close or near the fees you would be charged. Find a local real estate agent or your local MLS to find out the cost of you joining their service. Real estate companies have different desk space, access to copier and other things offered in their real estate office would also vary greatly. Contact a local real estate office to find out a ball park cost to be accepted in a real estate office. The fees charged would also differ in the same city. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
Q:law on real estate?
What laws on real estate are you looking for? Rental laws or selling laws?
Q:CA real estate license prep?
Try okorder.com. It is well worth it and is easy to use. I tried it for $29 for six months enrollment and passed the first time. I would recommend it. They also have flash cards that helped me alot.
Q:Closing lawyer real estate?
Your closing attorney is merely the middle man in this home purchase. He can not represent you any more than he can represent the bank/lender against you. All closing agents whether it is an attorney that does the closing or as in my state we use escrow as our closing agents on all real estate transactions simply act as the middle man between the buyer and seller and mortgage company to ensure that all the legal things required by the state are properly done. They are not your personal attorneys. The mortgage company is the one that you have the beef with they are the one that caused you to miss your closing date. If you want to take legal action against the mortgage company you would have to hire an attorney that handle civil or corporate cases. Closing dates are normally a date that both parties would like to close on. These dates are not normally written in stone. You should not get excited because there was a delay. This is normal in most real estate transactions. You should call the mortgage company, find out what the new closing date is then go from there. I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
Q:New to real estate, question about auto insurance?
I suggest that you try this site where you can get quotes from different companies: COVERAGEDEALS.NET/?src=... RE :New to real estate, question about auto insurance? I drive my parents car but i am not insured, now that i've joined a real estate firm, they want me to have them as an additional insured. So what can I do now? Do I have to get insurance under my name? And how much would it cost to get the firm as an additional insured? Follow 8 answers
Q:Real estate agent knowledge.. Quick!?
A real estate agent does not get a salary. You sell properties to earn a commission. You must enroll in a real estate course and then take a 3-4 hour exam and pass with at least .70-80%. You will need to have at least 6 months savings put aside for your expenses, such as, your rent, food, utilities, your car gas and maintenance, your monthly fees you pay the broker you work for, and all the advertising costs you will have, to advertise your listings. You must also be bonded so there will be those fees also The real estate course will cost about $ 3000-4000.
Q:Is the real estate IRA more advantageous than the traditional IRA?
Besides under performing other investments you have problems with unrelated business income tax. This comes about if you use the real estate personally or you have debt to finance the purchase of the property. By placing the real estate in an IRA you will have converted capital gain into ordinary income. You will not be able to deduct any losses against your other income either as rental loss or a capital loss if you sell it. Unrelated business income is paid by exempt trusts and corporations on certain income. The tax is paid with form 990T and the tax rate is 35% federal and whatever rate your state charges.
