Q:I am dead!!! My mom and Dads' Town Country is old, a 1996, but my dad loves it. He keeps it looking new. He will never get rid of it. I am 20y/o and screwed up. I slammed the driver side door and when I tried to roll it up, the back came up. Not the rest. I took the door apart, and there are cables all undone, and I don't know what the hell to do. I don't have a lot of money or time. They will be back in three days. I called the dealer, they said $300.00. I'm toast. Can anyone save me from this death sentence?

the regulator is broken. the cable broke and came out. it happens all the time. it wasn't because you slammed the door, it was old age. the only thing you can do is replace the regulator. if you were smart enough to get the door panel off you should be able to replace the regulator. its pretty self explanatory. you may be able to get a regulator at a parts store, i'm not sure on this van. the one from the dealer won't be that much if you do it yourself. if you have them do it, its the regulator plus 1.5 hours labor.

Q:On an ATI Radeon HD 4870 1 GB, It has 2 slots of PCIe Power. In the box, it already has the 2 ''Y'' cables/PCIe Adapter ( I haven't bought it, just watched someone unboxing it). I might not have a PCIe Power Connector on my 550W as I haven't bought it yet either. So when you insert the 2 ''Y'' cables/PCIe Adapter,it branches out 4 Molex slots, do you insert all 4 or 3 or 2 or just 1? If the answer is 2, do you insert one Molex connector on each adapter or both on the ''Y'' Cable/PCIe Adapter?Lastly, Can a ATI Radeon HD4870 fit into a micro-atx casing?Sorry for my bad EnglishThank You =D

The card needs 2x PCIe power cables so you need to plug in both of them. Each power cable needs 2x molex, so you need to plug all 4 in. Your power supply may also have a PCIe connector anyway so you might as well use that for one of them if you have it (it can't be used for anything else anyway) and then just use 2x molex to power the other one.

Q:The specs say: 350 Watts, DC 12V, 100-240V. It is a Rackable server.Are there special / different power cables to use with servers than desktop PCs?Where can I find the power cable with the above specs. I tried OKorder with not much luck.

Actually, There is no Different. The Point is make sure that the Cable to use for server is the Proper Cable to use for long term usage, and can plug properly to the Server.

Q:Hey,I left my PS3 in the living room, and I think the dog peed up it. Stupid place to leave it, I know. Anyway, I brought it back upstairs, hooked it up but when I went to plug the power cable in, there was a real loud buzzing sound coming from the PS3, right where the cable goes in. When I unplug it from the PS3, it stops. I tried leaving it to dry, and making sure there was no moisture present inside the machine, but I tried hooking it up again and got an electric shock up my arm from it.Should I buy a new cable, leave it to dry, or is there something inherently wrong with the PS3 now?Thanks :)

Ive never come across this before. Maybe its because i don't no anyone who has a dog which has peed up there PS3. I would suggest you dont get a other cable because that one might break aswell due to water getting in your ps3. If i was you i would contact Playstation or the store you got it from for more advice. Like i say im not sure and i dont think many people will come across this problem.

I have some of that special plastic wrap to do it, but I'm worried about overheating and induction.How many mains voltage power cables can I safely have in a single bundle? You should have no problem keeping the power cables separate from any audio or video cables. You might get some interference from the power cables if you don't.

Q:my power cord on my laptop is acting up to the point where I have to literally hold it in place to have it charge the battery and now the computer isn't coming on- the battery light is showing up when you push the power button but i don't know if it is charging-if there is anything you can tell me to fix this, that would be great!!

My power cable was having a problem too. What I did was just go out and get another cable because it seems that it is either your battery, or your power cable. So just go out get it replaced and Wala! It should work again...

Q:I have been looking all over the internet for one of the previously stated cords, and I just can't seem to find one. I really don't know much about power cords, but a monitor a friend gave me needs a 12V, 4.0A DC power cable.I would prefer to use a site like newegg, OKorder or cables unlimited (or a large retailer like Walmart).

If the pin fits, and the tolerance on the 12V is comparable, the better amperage should not be a controversy. in case you have a voltage meter, you are able to verify the 12V adaptor for its output.

Q:I have a hp laptop from south asia. The adapter connects with the laptop and the power cable. The power cable has a 3 round pin plug which says 6A 240V~. On the hp adapter for the input it says: 100-240V~ 1.6A 5-60Hz. It also says Connect Only to Grounded outlets.Now I am in canada. All i know is that here they have 120 V in normal power plugs. Also they have 1 round and 2 rectangular pins to plug in the outlet.I bought this adapter which basically connects the 3 round pin plug into the adapter and the adapter has 3 canadian pins. The thing is that it says 250V 10A on the adapter. So I am not sure if it will hurt my laptop if I use it. I am a bit confused because Canada has 120V and the adapter accepts 250V. The HP adapter has a range from 100-240V. Will this be ok to use since the HP adapter will just convert the 120V into the proper output for the laptop or do I need one the expensice Voltage converters for the laptop?

ok here is what i would do .. (get a cheap 5 dollar volt meter at radio shack or such. ) it dont have to be digital or fancy , just need voltage reads.. unplug the lap top from the cord, plug in the adapter with the cord NOT IN THE COMPUTER. take the volt meter , and set it to read dc voltage 250v or above . read the volts comming out of the end of the cord using the meter.. is it less then 250 volts , then you should be good .. if you dont know how to read a volt meter, or know a handy neighbor with one , who knows how to us it , go ask them to read the cord for you , tell them you need to know the voltage output while connected to canadian power from the cord..

Q:Hi,I bought a new 500GB HDD today, with a SATA cable (data) but I don't know what kind of power cable I need?I looked around and saw Sata to Molex and all kinds of things, I've never had to hook up a second hard drive before and the terms are confusing me. Your PSU, should have all of the needed connectors.
