Q:Aluminum vs Carbon road bike frame?
I am not sure where some of these posts came from, but from someone like myself who road cycles 6000 to 8000 miles per year and has a 3 year old carbon fiber frame, I have never had any problems with my frame... I have never heard of any carbon bike breaking unless it was in some MAJOR crash... the same crash that would destroy almost any bike (except cromealloy steel)... That being said, carbon frames are usually the lightest out there, but they can be pricey. Yes, they can be stiffer, but that is a GOOD thing because the power transfer through the drivetrain is better, especially when you have to get up out of the saddle. While riding regularly, especially on the flats, it gives a bit, providing a plush ride. I love my Specialized Roubaix Pro, pretty much everything on the bike is carbon, from the FSA cranks to the Specialized carbon stem... But be prepared to spend at least 3000 bucks to get the bike with good components. Ride safe and have fun!
Q:Product of Aluminium and Hydrochloric Acid?
i might call the plumber immediately. curiously there's a hollow interior the piping someplace, and the sulfuric acid would desire to have eaten by in spite of advance into clogging that hollow. I doubt that it will supply up leaking via itself, to no longer point out that acid is in all risk leaking into your kitchen in the present day.
Q:Soldering aluminum cylinder, strength?
to your setup i might merely persist with the iron. It would not sound like the burden mark downs is going to be properly actually worth the greater suitable probability for a on a regular basis motive force. forged iron is merely greater rugged and can take greater abuse than aluminum. Aluminum has its place yet its no longer in a on a regular basis motive force like it variety of feels you're development.
Q:Is my volvo S70 bumper aluminum or stainless steel?
Aluminum, stainless is too expensive and not ductile enough to be made into bumpers, especially of that complexity. As far as the magnetism, the magnet would only stick to low nickel stainless and its not likely that they would use 308 on a consumer vehicle.
Q:Would you please tell me what putty to use on the aluminium board, what kind of putty, and the painting process?
Applied atomic ash.Consider adding an interface agent, that is, applying an interfacial agent on the aluminum plate, and then applying a topcoat on the interface agent after drying. You can also consider adding primer or putty, and then spray paint. In summary, adhesion of the topcoat is reinforced with an agent.
Q:why intact aluminum sheet stop quicker than pectinate one in the magnetic field?
while swinging in the magnetic field, intact aluminum sheets will formulate inner eddy current, that is the annular induced current.eddy current will transform the mechanical energy into heat energy, which makes the aluminum sheet stop quickly.but pectinate aluminum sheet can't formulate intact eddy current, so intact aluminum sheet stop quicker than pectinate one.
Q:is aluminium safe?
Some. The chemical aluminum can get into your blood accumulate. Years ago, there was a study of weather blood aluminum was the cause of Alzheimer disease. Was proven not to be. But that study helped to reduce the amount of aluminum in deodorant sticks.
Q:copper wire has 1.72x10^-8 resistivity, with a length of 50m, diameter of 2mm, what is the length of aluminum?
Aluminum with the same resistance as 50 meters of copper. (Resistance) = (Resistivity)(Length/Area) So if the resistivity changes by (2.82/1.72), then the length changes by (1.72/2.82). So the length of aluminum would be 50m(1.72/2.82) Length of aluminum would be 30.5 meters
Q:help with aluminium and titanium questions?
1. When exposed to air, pure aluminium rapidly forms a passive oxide layer, alumina, which further inhibits aluminium reactions with other elements. 2. Aluminium can be made stronger by alloying with other elements. One of the most known aluminum alloy is duraluminium, where the principal alloying component is copper. 3. Exactly as aluminium, titanium corrosion resistance is due to its high reactivity with oxygen. When pure titanium is exposed to air it forms a passive titanium dioxide layer on the surfaces exposed which further prohibits other reactions with corrosion agents. 4. The use of titanium in jet engines components is favored by its strength to weight ration, which is unmatched by any other metal. As for the nuclear reactors, its use is preferred because of its superior corrosion resistance associated with fracture toughness and overall durability. 5. Both titanium and aluminium are refined from their respective mined ores - bauxite, for aluminium, ilmenite and rutile for titanium. Basically, these are oxides of the metals. Pure metal has to be reduced from these ores and processes involve use of temperatures up to and sometime exceeding 1000 degrees Celsius, which obviously requires a great consumption of energy, including electricity. Moreover, pure aluminium is obtained in the final processing phase through electrolysis, meaning an electrical current is needed in order to drive the required chemical reactions, thus adding to the electrical consumption. 6. Recycling aluminium from aluminium simply requires the remelting of the metal, eliminating the electrolytic phase that is high electric energy consuming.
Q:aluminum cans?
No, Ed. 1 billion seconds = 31.69 years, so it was the spring of 1976. Also 1 billion minutes ago = about 1901.3 years ago, so Christ would have been about 100. But I digress... Anyway, let's say the average aluminum can is 4.9 tall (I measured a Coke can). 5 billion cans would be 24.5 billion inches tall. This would be 386,679 miles. This would be from the Earth to the moon (about 250,000 miles) and halfway back again!
