Q:I need to do this for a project, and I planned on using paper mache, but I need a structure to start the whole project withI was thinking maybe using wire mesh, but if anyone has better/easier/faster ideas, I would appreciate them.
I like the wire mesh idea, but I would crumble paper for the majority of the base, wrapped in tape and/or plastic wrap, or use aluminum foil for more detailed parts of itThen do some wire mesh over it to help hold the papier mache in placeI really like this ideaThumbs up.
Q:I am restoring my great grandpas boat and was told to get rivets to fill holes, And I researched them and theres different kinds of rivetsWhich do I use.
Aluminium blind rivetsIf the holes are elongated or worn drill out to the next size upIf similar rivets fitted to similar areas and structure have washers then fit them as needed - normally these load spreading washers are stainless, use 316 rather than the cheaper 304 seriesUse Dura-Lac or a similar anti-corrosive compound to prevent electrolysis between slightly differing grades of alloy - it is impossible to have the alloy of the hull the same as the modern rivet alloy so that is very importantRivets are structural members, so must not be replaced with other forms of repairIt is worth buying a good rivet set if you are planning on doing more than a few - the cheap guns are pretty hard on the hands and frankly just plain hurt! I use one with two long handles, this is very accurate and quite easy to use with little shock transmitted to the wristThere are concertina types and even electric and air operated types if you have a lot of money! Set all rivets the same as original - this is almost certainly to mean that you will set them from outside the boat, leaving a nicely rounded head on the outside surface - flush mounted rivets require countersinking and are usually only used in aircraft skin assembly, avoid these as they are not needed or cost effectiveThe larger rivets used to mount seats etcare still available with effort, and were set in the factory using power or hydraulic setsUse of a dolly on the outside, and a steady peening - with a ball-pein hammer strangely enough - will mount then and clamp the workIt is a two person job, and the boat hull should be well jigged or supported so no twist or fluting of the panels occurs should many rivets be missing.
Q:i want to roll up some tobacco, but cant a dont have any rolling paperswhat are good alternates.

Q:How strong would chain mail armor be if it were made of anodized aluminum? Thinking of getting this, but not sure if it is worth it.
Depends on what you mean by strong. Considering that the chain mail shirt on that site is butted mail (rings that have simply been bent closed).... If you are going to be using it for any contact re-enactment type stuff, or any kind of protective gear, definitely not. You can bend aluminum rings open with your bare fingers. So anything hitting that mail with force will destroy it very quickly. Even steel rings make for pretty useless protection if it is butted. The rings simply bend open. If you want protective chainmail, the rings will have to be either riveted or welded closed, and made of steel. If you mean durable for just wearing as cosplay or for a quirky fashion statement, then it will probably last a long time, though with aluminum, the rings have a tendency to bend open on their own. I?m not sure if anodized rings will do this because I?ve never used anodized rings. If you can get a riveted or welded version then that will certainly last a life time, but I wouldn?t use it as protective gear unless it was made of steel.
Q:Okay so, my mom went to work this afternoon and she told me to cook this chicken she got at the store for supperShe told me to put it in a pan, put some alluminum foil on it and bake itThats basically what I didI lined the pan with aluminum foil, put a little water in it and put some foil over itIts supposed to be lightly marinated, although it doesn't look like it isWill it be okay? Like, in taste and everything? I also heated the oven to 400, because it was really frozen, instead of 375Will it make much of a difference? About 10 minutes ago, I took the foil off, because it didn't look like it was cookingIts been in there for about 30 minutes, the package said 50-60 minutesI'm just wondering if its gonna be okayI'm really stressed because I'm 15, haven't cooked dinner before, and am babysitting 3 kidsPlease, quick answers!
You put a frozen chicken in the oven? Whole chicken, chicken parts, chicken casserole?? The question is a little confusing because if it frozen and a whole chicken it will take longer than 50-60 mins to cookTake the foil off the chicken and if you have any italian salad dressing you can pour some on the chicken while its cooking, BUT if it a casserole DO NOT add the salad dressing to itAlso turn the oven down to 350 degrees and finish cooking at that temperatureThere is no need to stress about it if it takes longer give the kids a snack and feed them dinner when its done cookingRotate the pan by turning it around in the oven and the almost cooked pieces will cook fasterhope this helps.good luck and enjoy.
Q:I had an aluminum slug that I measured the mass of as 8.669gThe length was 2.8cmThe radius was .950 cmThe volume (using a volumetric cylinder) was 3.5cm^3^We are supposed to do a calculated volume using (pir^2^h) also.but when I do it with the formula, it doesn't come out the same both waysI think I'm following everything, but it's just not coming close to being equalAm I doing something wrong, or did we (more than likely) not measure something right?
SureAppliances like AC units, like refrigerators, work off a thermostat which turns them on and off as neededThey are designed to be left running on their own foreverIt does not make sense that a manufacturer would design and sell a unit which would fail in short order if left ON overnight.
