Product Description:

1.Structure of Aluminium Foil Facing Insulation Description:

Aluminium Foil Facing Insulation provides excellent insulation: reflects up to 97% of radiant energy in addition to resisting other types of heat transfer from conduction, convection, and radiation. The side of metalized PET/Alu forms an effective barrier against moisture, air currents and vapors. It is economical solution in many field. It is a light duty, Eco grade D/S foil Insulation. It is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs , in walls behind cladding or under timber floors , for residential and commercial building. Combining with glasswool or foam insulation, it is excellent as a vapor barrier for air-conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels.

2.Main Features of the Aluminium Foil Facing Insulation:

High heat reflection & low thermal conductivity

Heat preservation & energy saving

Moisture barrier & waterproof

Low flammability

Strong, durable & corrosion resistance

Q:Why is the most insulation needed in ceilings or roofs?
well insulation in general is to keep the inside temperature different than the outside. since hot air usually rises, i think it is to keep warm air form escaping in winter. also you don't usually have a heater in the attic, or air conditioning so insulation will keep the air in the attic from having an effect on the air within the house. that is my idea as to why
Q:Is it good to get cavity wall / roof insulation in the summer?
please stop worrying.your house will be warmer, but not hot.it is also a good idea to open your windows for at least 20 mins a day to allow claen/fresh air to circulate.you are correct in doing the job now though.
Q:Can I tear out all of the blow in insulation in the roof?
You can remove it, but why not replace it with rolled insulation? I'm sure you're local State Board of Health would disaprove of not having your tenant's homes properly insulated. You could get into a lot of legal trouble if you do not keep you apartment building properly maintained.
Q:what effect does changing the pitch of a roof have on the insulation properties and durability of a roof?
Increasing the pitch will of course result in a larger dead air space therefore more insulation. The greater pitch is also less likely to leak but of course more costly to construct as more material is needed. Install vents at the peaks for more efficiency. Shingles will be less likely to be lifted by high winds with the steeper roof also.
Q:what's the best insulation for ceilling for house with semi flat roof?
The pitch of your roof has nothing to do with the kind of insulation you should use. I recommend a fiberglass insulation that is at least 6 inches thick, the more you put in the better.
Q:I want to install roof insulation at my house?
Best way and easy cheap way is just roll out unpapered fiberglass over top of joist at right angles to existing insulation
Q:What to do with leftover insulation from flat roof?
Hey, Why not just sell the leftovers and make some dough instead? You can list them on craigslist or OKorder. Just a suggestion :) Regards, J
Q:Suggest thermal insulation material for rcc roof that can be put during water proofing of roof?
use a polythene sheet . i dont know about where u live but where i live we get very long and broad size thick polythene sheets to make shelter or the protect from rain . even poor ppl use it to make slums . they attach a sheet in bamboo and they bury half of that bamboo stick inside the ground and by arranging 4 of them like this in a square area they make a bamboo frame. then as i said they attach sheet and make temporary home but they live there for years.
Q:do i have to have insulation in my roof?
Maybe, you do need insulation above the ceilings (it will be between the ceiling joists/framing that also serve as the attic floor joists/framing. 1. If you have a finished attic (for a living area of some sort) then yes there should be insulation with a vapor barrier under the roof &/or between the roof framing. This will help keep heating/cooling costs down and prevent condensation from forming under the roof and doing lots of water damage over time. 2. If the attic is partially finished but used for storage only & there is attic ventilation in use also then no you don't need insulation under your roof. 3. If your attic is partially finished or completely finished but used for storage only and there is no attic ventilation then yes you should have insulation with a vapor barrier also under the roof. You don't have to have it since it's used for storage only but if you start to see condensation &/or wet areas on the wood or framing under the roof then you will need insulation with a vapor barrier installed. If for any reason insulation is installed under the roof it must be installed correctly and have in place a proper method of ventilation directly under the roof itself. All roof systems in the attic areas must have proper ventilation to prevent any possibility of condensation forming under &/or in the wood roof framing & sheathing materials that will rot the wood over time.
Q:Do loft flats have to have roof insulation installed?
To comply with UK building regulations all lofts must be insulated... Q22. How much loft insulation do I need? A22. To meet current Building Regulations you need 270mm of mineral wool insulation. 100mm between the ceiling joists and 170mm laid over the joists.
