- Screeching noises aren't usually a sign of wheels out of alignment. Screeching noises can be caused by the brakes or wheel bearings. With wheel alignment all 4 wheels are checked, but on some cars only the front suspension can be adjusted while on others, the front and rear suspensions can be adjusted. You would get them aligned when your manufacturer recommends it, generally around 10-12 thousand miles or you should have it checked when you notice any of the following: - Excessive or uneven tire wear. - Steering wheel pulls to the left or right. - Feeling of looseness or wandering. - Steering wheel vibration or shimmy. - Steering wheel is not centered when car is moving straight ahead

- Other than not being able to go offroad as much as a 4WD. 2WDs are usually less expensive. Cheaper to fix and generally not as complicated as 4WDs are. You will be fine in the country with a 2WD as long as you remember that hwen driving off the highway. 2wds will still go through alot of muck with a good set of mud tires but be careful.

- You are correct that weight is shifted forward during breaking but it is due to momentum. When breaking the rear wheel is taking most of the force as it tries to slow the momentum of the entire bike and rider.
