Q:I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS, is it rear wheel drive or front wheel drive?
Front wheel drives are better in the snow because your more pulling the vehicle rather than pushing. Because it's turning your front wheels. Rear wheel drive vehicles are mostly sporty cars because you get a certain, or better accelerationin the sports car. Example I own a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro (Rear Wheel Drive) and in the winter I put snow tires on and sand bags in the trunk so there is more weight in the back for more traction on the back wheels with all the power.
Q:Really want a new steering wheel on my 1990 truck.Old one is too big, worn etc. It‘s and easy install, really simple.no power steering, no airbags etc. I know the cost for a new wheel and installation ( If i didn‘t do it myself )How common is it for an aftermarket wheel to come off or for it to strip the hub etc, Id prefer to not crash at 65 mph. I would assume it‘s no more dangerous than the wheel on my truck now, but just wondering.
No known probs with aftermarket steering wheels. I have had a grant classic 13 wheel (same steering wheel) in 3 cars over the past 13 years. No probs with it. These 3 cars have been street/strip cars ranging from 300 HP to 600 HP.My camaro now is 600 HP, took to dragstrip every weekend runs 125 mph through the 1/4 mile, drove to track and back 2 hours each way, used as a daily driver car for 7 years with about 10K miles per year. My GF has a grant GT wheel on her '87 burb that came off my dad's toyota pickup that he had for 8 years (had to buy a new install kit to put it on her chevy though) I have a grant classic wheel on my 1988 S10 You have nothing to worry about when it comes to the safty of an aftermarket steering wheel. Just buy the right install hub/kit for your car and install like the papers says to and you'll be fine
Q:Obviously, North, South and Central American civilizations did not use wheels. Nor did Australia or the Pacific Islands. So, was the wheel invented in Europe, Asia or Africa?
Pangea.
Q:i recently bought a peugeot metal-x moped and found the front wheel to be a bit loose i was wondering if anybody could give me a rough guide as to how to tighten it. the wheel slightly turns bout an inch or so away from the handle bars i don think its a big job i just need to no wat i need to tighten it thanx
there must be 3 bolts that could want tightened, 2 that carry the column as much as the sprint, you will could desire to take the plastic piece under the guidance column off after which you will see the two bolts retaining the column to the sprint and the different bolt is obvious on the backside of the guidance column suitable on the firewall on the interior the vehicle, that is referred to as a pinch bolt and it holds the guidance onto the guidance rack it is on the exterior of the firewall, make optimistic that bolt is tight.
Q:My daughter is almost 9 years old and does not know how to ride a bike yet. I really want to go shopping for bikes this weekend and teach her to ride by summer. The problems? She lacks confidence when it comes to physically demanding activities. And she is over the 50lb weight limit of training wheels at the store. So #1, where do you find training wheels for big kids? I would prefer something with a 100lb weight limit so that I can assure her they are plenty strong. And #2, do you even think training wheels are necessary? I learned without them, but are they very useful for the average kid?
they are not necessary.i taught my 5 yrs old daughter with out these wheels in 4/5 days.
Q:I HAVE A 1997 SRAD WILL BUSA WHEELS FIT ON IT
They may look the same but use different bearings, axles, and would mount differently. Not going to fit.sorry
Q:My boyfriend just replaced my axle shaft on the front driver side of the car and ever since there has been strong vibrations in the wheels. I also noticed it seems as though the steering wheel bounces back and forthI had my front end aligned 2 1/2 years ago, so I am wondering if it is the tires or another alignment. Help!
The first thing to do is have some one stand to the side but, in front of the car and look at the in and out side of the tire. Some times the belt in the tire breaks and you will see the side bubble out. Next double check every thing that was taken apart to replace the drive shaft. Even the lug nust on the wheel. Could even be tire ballance. Then if you can't find any thing take it in and have them check it. Good luck.
Q:i got a 1990 accord.when i let go of the steering wheel, the car moves to the right a lot, and when im on the freeway it gets scary because i feel the car moving side to side when i reach speeds of 50+. is this problem my wheels not being balanced?? or is it that i need them aligned?? what could it be? i want to take care of the problem because its scary drving like this.and how much would it cost to get the job done??? i live in california, southbay
if the wheels need to be balanced? you will feel the vibration through your steering wheel at higher speeds! The symptons of wheels neading to be aligned are: # Uneven or rapid tire wear # Pulling or drifting away from a straight line # Wandering on a straight level road
Q:How the engine power is passed to the wheel
Gasoline combustion boosts the piston, the piston pushes the crankshaft, the crankshaft drives the flywheel ... the flywheel drives the gearbox ... The gearbox drives the axle, the axle drives the tires ... so the ... ... the car is moving up
Q:Big wheels used forSmall wheels used for
It is up to the designer of the coaster whether the ride needs small or large wheels. Size adjusts the speed that the coaster will go by how much weight friction it has on the tracks. Most times, the designer has to change the original wheels during tests to ensure that the ride hits the targeted speed that they intended.
