Q:In terms of wheel size/tire size/then tire width. Both axles please!
The six cylinder and 318's were built with 14x5 1/2 steel wheels and E78 tires, the big block wedge cars, 14x6 steel wheels with F70 tires and all the Hemis, 15x7 wheels with F60 tires. The optional Rallye wheels could be had in 14x5 1/2, 14x6 and 15x7, the optional five spoke road wheel could only be had in 14x6. All front disc brake cars and 340 built cars required 15 inch wheels for caliper clearance. The Challenger T/A was unique in that the front tire size was E60 and the rear G60, both 15 inches. This information is for 1970 models only. I found and purchased in the mid '80's a set of 15 x 6 1/2 Rallye wheels that supposedly came off a '78 Chrysler Cordova.
Q:what's your take/experience on powder coating stock rims/wheels?im thinking of doing it to my 2008 Scion tCmost likely im going to powder coat them white to match the color of my car
powder coating does look good and is very tough, much harder than spray paint.
Q:i want to sell 4 used factory alloy wheels of my mazda 3 2009. There are some curb scratch on 1 of front wheels So how much i can sell them?
You might be able to get $50 each for them on OKorder.
Q:So i heard that the bigger the wheels the better it is on the road. Is dat true or does it depend on its Durometer ? And i was gonna buy some Element brand wheels.
hello i got here upon some on OKorder that are off roading wheels for skateboards theyre 35 money and thats no longer a fortune for wheels its approximately established yet an incredibly solid fee for off street wheels
Q:A turbine wheel is positioned such that the center of the wheel sits 26 feet off the floor of an electric steam generating plant. The wheel has a radius of 18 feet and is turning at 1rev/8sec. Design a Trig Model that will predict the height of the sensor, located at the lowest point on the wheel at t 0 seconds, from the floor of the plant. The Trig model should be in the form of h(t)(a)cos((b)(t)+c)+d , where h(t) measures the height of the sensor from the floor, in feet, at any time t in seconds.
The wheel is turning at 1 rev/ 8 sec, so 1/8 rev/sec, i.e. pi/4 radians per second ( 45 degrees per second) So the angle the wheel has rotated by at time T is T*pi/4 rad 45*T degrees - we will denote the angle by x for clarity. The radius of the wheel is 18 feet, so after time T, the sensor will be 18-18cos(x) feet higher than it was when it started the rotation. To see this, draw the wheel having rotated through some angle ypi/2 rad (90 degrees), and use trigonometry to work out the vertical distance between the centre of the wheel and the sensor. Since you know the radius of the wheel, you can the work out how much height the sensor has gained in terms of the angle the wheel has rotated. Now, for any time t, we know that the sensor will be 18(1-cos(x)) feet higher than it started. We also know that at t0 the sensor was at the lowest point of the wheel, which was 8 feet off the ground (since the centre of the wheel was 26 feet off the ground and the wheel has radius 18 feet) Hence, at any time t, the sensor is -18(cos(t*pi/4)-1) + 8 feet from the ground.
Q:Why are the front wheels on an 18 wheeler protruding while all the rear wheels on it are inverted ??
The wheel backspacing is offset so that the rear duals can be mounted next to each other. The second tire on the rear reduces sway and reduces the pressure on the road. The face of the wheel (where the lugnuts are) extends out past the edge of the tire. On the rear axles of a semi, one wheel is turned around opposite of the tire next to it. So the inner tire of the dual is facing the same as on the front axle. The second (outer) tire is dished inward as you normally see it, so the faces of the two wheels touch. The actual tires have a small gap between them so that they do not rub. All 10 wheels on the semi tractor are the same, just some are spun around. All wheels are interchangeable (assuming sizing is the same). So you could swap a front and rear tire around without a problem. Hope that makes sense. Next time your out and you see a parked semi or even a 1-ton pickup truck with dual wheels, take a closer look at the rear axle. Look between the rear tires and it will hopefully make more sense.
Q:How long before a gerbil gets the hang of using a wheel?
Well i have 2 gerbils and only one seems to get the hang of using the wheel they have had the wheel for almost a year and i have tried every other gerbil safe wheel and the one gerbil just runs for a second or to and then flops around on the insidebut maybe your gerbil just dont like the wheel i have had a few gerbils who hate the wheels and will try to chew on them
Q:I had these 70mm 78a abec wheels then i just took them off and now the berrings and spacers and stuff are stuck in the wheel how do i get it out without damaging it??
put the wheel on the axle bearing flush with the end of the axle. Gently pry the bearing out of the wheel. Flip over and do the other side. Freezing the wheels can make removal easier. If it still doesn't work, take it to a skate shop and have them remove it with a bearing press.
Q:i got some size 50mm kostons f1 utherane wheels and does size matter on skateboards i usually ride 53 or 54
you dont have walmart wheels am i right? at least you can skate and wheels are some what the same.
Q:I got my hamster Tilly yesterday she is 6 weeks old. She has a really roomy cage and it has an exercise wheel (of course) the wheel and the bit that attaches it to the cage is plastic and it makes an awful noise. I know that if you have a metal one you put vegetable oil on it but is there a blanket or something i can buy for the plastic wheels and no im not buying a new wheel. Thanks please answerAmy
Every wheel makes noise My hamster loves to run on his wheel too, and it was squeaky. All you need to do is get a little bit of vaseline (if you have any), or olive oil, and apply a little bit to the wheel axle. The wheel should quiet down. That's what I did for my hamster. I used vaseline. Hope that helped :D
