- brake horse power of an engine is the actual amount of horse power an engine can put out. Using 745.5 watts as a horse power, the engine will supply the equivalent of 30 times 745.7 watts at 30 brake horse power. This is 22,371watts. The generator is supplying 20 Kw or 20,000 watts. The difference in the engine output and the generator output is 22,371 minus 20,000 or 2.371 watts. I don't see how the answer is 1039 watts, if my calculations are correct. Perhaps someone else will have the answer you seek. I may be missing something in your question.

- Not sure exactly what this question is after.. but I think c. Before steam engines, mills had to be located near fast moving streams and rivers so water power could be used. Steam allows the plants to be located anywhere, as coal could be transported in.

- Well you are not very clear with your question , you need to be clear about what you are trying to do, Did you receive an invoice for the fixed asset or the payment has already been made ? answer would depend on the situation: Although i think the main entry you are after is DR Fixed assets ( machinery) DR VAT paid- (assuming ur subledger doesnt pick up any VAT) CR Trade creditors this would be the main journal, in between these journals you could have as many journals as you want in between.
