ACSR or ACSR cable or ACSR conductor used for Overhead electrical distribution and transmission lines for distributing power
1.Applications
Used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding enables desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
2. Construction
Aluminum alloy 1350-H-19 wires, concentrically stranded about a steel core. Core wire for ACSR is available with class A, B, or C galvanizing; ""aluminized"" aluminum coated (AZ); Or aluminum-clad (AW). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the corer or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
3. Specifications
ACSR bare conductor meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications:
B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1350-H19 for Electrical Purposes
B-231 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded
B-232 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded, Coated Steel Reinforced (ACSR)
B-341 Aluminum-clad Steel Core Wire for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR/AW)
B-498 Zinc-Coated Steel Core Wire for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR/AZ)
B-500 Zinc Coated and Aluminum Coated Stranded Steel Core for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR)

Q:my portable HD has 2 USB cables, one for the computer and one for power... why?
The small ones don't. The big ones do. They require the use of a power adapter (cable) to work properly. It cannot be powered by a USB cable alone.
Q:Question says it all.
You wont see any problem as far as the cable is concerned, as each device deteremines it's own resistance, and which will result in a specific amperage being drawn from the system (constant voltage), so no need to worry about that. The one issue you will want to address is making sure you reduce your fuse amperage. You want your fuses to be rated just over what you system should normally draw. Any more and your system might be damaged if it ever experiences a short, as your fuse might not respond as quickly as one with the correct rating. (There are several other reasons to use the correct fuse, but you get the idea, it's just safer and smarter) I'm assuming you are refering to 1200w Max power when referring to cable, which would probably be something like an 8Guage, hich probably has a 40Amp fuse, which is a pretty solid choice for a system under 500w (assuming you are referring again to max, not rms). You might want to swap it out for a 30 amp, thought, just to be on the safe side. If you are reffering to 1200w rms, then you have a 1 guage or so cable, and you probably have anywhere from 80-150 amp fuse using either Maxi or ANL fuses. If this is the case, that's fine, just make sure you switch out those fuses for the lowest ones you can get. I beleive ANL start at 100amps, but I think you can get maxi's as low as 60 amps. (Anything you need can be gotten at BestBuy, Circuit, or any local audio shops)
Q:What is the difference between an ordinary power cable for a dedicated cable?
Another example is the flashlight and electric shaver although the voltage is very low, power and current is very small, is still strong
Q:Will that work, just get the new country's type of power cable? its a 4gb 360 slim
Just get a power converter and plug it in to that. Much easier.
Q:I have a monitor which has a input rating of 100-240V and a 1.5A current. But I have a cable which gives out 250V and a 10A current.... The cable plugs into my monitor with no problem and it turns on just fine. But is it fine?
it is fine, the cable doesn't give out anything the 10amp rating is simply the maximum current that it is rated for, at the monitor only draws a maximum 1.5amps this will be 1/10th of the capacity of the power cable
Q:Can I use 300 v power cable on a cx500?
Yes, this is just the maximum power the cable is rated to carry, it won't be what is coming out of the wall
Q:I bought a Garmin GPS, but my cigarette lighter is near my gear shift. Does anyone know how to add a power cable so the cable is behind the gps on the window?. I can always take it somewhere for about $100.
As you say, take it so it is professionally done. Working on cars is very complex and requires an expert. Always best to seek a professional. Also always it is require to capitalize the acronyms of titles. Please capitalize GPS 100% of the time.
Q:can i use this to power a pcie x16 card in a pcie x1 slot
That depends on what you mean by 'power'. You can use it to connect a PCIe x16 card to a PCIe x1 slot but it'll only have one PCIe lane connected, meaning that the interface will only have 1/16th of the bandwidth. That's fine for something like using a graphics card to mine Litecoin but not for gaming. As for powering it, if the card uses a lot of power so has external power connectors like a graphics card then you still need to connect those, if it normally runs without an extra power cable then it'll be fine. You'll notice that most of the reviews there are from people who were building Bitcoin/Litecoin mining rigs. When doing that the graphics cards are working flat out but there's not a lot of data being sent through the interface so a x1 interface is fine, when gaming the interface has to carry a lot more information so this would really slow it down. It would be fine for just providing a way to plug in a cheap graphics card to provide a second display for normal 2D use though but its 3D performance would suffer.
Q:I took a vacation last week in Victorville, Ca and i brought my 360, well when i was ready to come back home i packed everthing but my Xbox 360 power cable, now im stuck at home and can't play my 360 or nothing..=[. And i don't wanna order it online. I need some help where to find this.
are u missing the whole power source or just the end cable? the end cable is the same power cord has a computer
Q:Hey! I bought a new sound system for my truck including 4 new speakers, a sub, a 5-channel amp, and I'm running all new wiring. So far I've got the 3 RCA cables ran, along with the blue remote turn-on wire along the right side of my truck. I plan to run the Power wire down the left side and then to my amp.I've heard that you put the power wire and RCA cables on different sides, which is what I've done, but is it ok for my speaker wires to be run beside or close to the power wire(4-gauge fyi)? For example, the right side speaker wires wont be near it, but the left side speaker wires will be...Will this cause any weird noise from my speakers?I don't have the names/etc of all my gear right in front of me, but if u rly need it, I will quot;add detailsfor you! Thanks!!
Good....That will depend on how tremendous the amp is. An extension twine has either 2 or three wires inside of at someplace between sixteen and 12 gauge wire. You could twist the entire conductors together and be good up to about forty amps with three 12 gauge wires. The obstacle with amplifiers is present now not voltage. The thicker the wire the extra present it's going to manage. Most any wire you purchase is rated at least 120V. Determine what measurement fuse the amp requires, whether it is greater than 30 to 40 amps i would buy the correct size single wire for the amp. Additionally, fuse the wire at the battery. Fireplace shouldn't be our friend. :)
